Arizona was a huge mess a year ago, after a few years of serious damage from the FBI/NCAA nightmare, a chosen scapegoat for the sports media, especially ESPN, which like it or not is a primary sports media entity. The Arizona brand was severely damaged. So, while Arizona is a top-tier program histor...

Now that Tommy is winning in impressive fashion and has AZ in the top ten, one suspects recruits will start strongly revisiting AZ as a destination. There is still the question of sanctions, but it is unlikely AZ gets a second year post-season ban.

The one thing that we can compare directly between Miller and Lloyd is style of play. Without a doubt Lloyd's style of play is much more enjoyable to watch. This is a key year. If Tommy has success (not championship contending success, but shows he can coach and win games), it will stabilize some of the unknowns in terms of perception from a recruiting standpoint, and should open the door to Arizona caliber players once again committing to the program.
