Kind of late but maybe he needed to graduate first. Actually glad he didn't come to Arizona.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I had thought the transfer portal window had closed, and it did May 11, but reading the comments he is a grad transfer and will not have to sit out a year.
Comments are pretty brutal.

Probably one of the very few college players born in the 90's with eligibility left.

I get it that Quinerly's been around a long time, but I can't find any indication that Zion has retired. Injured a lot and under a cloud from sex scandals, but not retired.

Cripes. I can't mention "moron" on twitter, but doing a twitter search for "zion williamson" I get full spread pussy. Is twitter the new tumbler?RichardCranium wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 9:11 pm I get it that Quinerly's been around a long time, but I can't find any indication that Zion has retired. Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Had an offer from Arizona, although I imagine he wants to start at his next school. Can he beat out Lewis/Bradley to replace Love and Larsson?

Hope Tommy goes after him.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I agree, the timing is really odd. Lloyd and 67 other coaches have other things to worry about right now.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Stanford better get a coach asap or they're going to lose half their team's scoring output for next year

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Not sure how much NIL money the Arizona collectives have left, but doubt it's enough.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I thought players on student visa’s couldn’t get NIL money?

Shooters
Aaron Gordon.
Aaron Gordon.
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Jordan Pope from OSU has entered the portal.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Wondering if Wells from WAZZU will enter. If so I would love to have that guy

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Myles Rice from Wazzu entered. Is he going to be the best PG available?
Seems like their whole team is bailing - Rice, Jakimovski, Chinyelu. And of course their coach.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
If Wells goes in we need to break the bank on him and Rice

We are going to need an experience power forward more than anything.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Stanford has taken two transfers in fifteen years and both were grad transfers. Not sure they are taking a kid from WSU.pc in NM wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 4:51 pmGreat step-up - Wazzu to Stanford!!VegasCatFan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 3:20 pm Myles Rice from Wazzu entered. Edit - Unless you meant the coach!
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Maybe 1) openness to transfers in today's world, and/or, 2) the transfers he could bring were factors in his hiring.MrBug708 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 9:11 pmStanford has taken two transfers in fifteen years and both were grad transfers. Trust me, he'll be bringing transfers!!

Maybe he put in a call to Sean Miller. Xavier could use his help especially since he doesn't care about the NCAA tourney.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Big if true.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
He got a slow start due to physical health, and showed some skills - but, yes, he was over-hyped.
My own concern would be the baggage that commes with him.
I doubt he (or his family) would even consider a "border town" (LA perception) like Tucson.
I expect he sticks near to LA, and allows access for his dad's schedule - UCLA?? Pepperdine? SDSU?

we don't want anything to do with Bronny James - the amount of ball washing he gets because of Lebron is insane; he isn't AZ good either
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
If Enfield believes, then he should be trying to get him to SMU

I don't know about this list, but, WTF??? It's offseason, so anything goes...
Arizona ia listed @ 20/1 - tied for 14th with Gonzaga
