Yeah four 5 star guys (gonna give LM the benefit of 5 stars). Obviously we all want JJ, but thats a crazy class, especially considering where we were a month and some change ago. Oh and Ray Smith too. Odds are that is five NBA guys playing as freshmen next year

We're gonna look like UK or Duke next season, with so many freshmen getting big minutes. JJ is still the big fish out there; he will single-handedly shift the balance of power nationally. But if TF does commit, our class is ridiculous regardless.

The witch has been busy.

Gone: PJC, Simon, Trier

On the board: Josh Jackson, though even if he commits Arizona (which I'm guessing), he may opt for China, so I won't count on until late August

That makes an 8-player rotation of:

Simmons / Allen
Alkins / Allen / Ferguson
Ferguson / Smith / Allen
Smith / Markannen / Comanche
Comanche / Ristic / Markannen

No, just guessing that PJC and his people don't envision him as a career backup, and Trier is ready to go pro. I love Simon, but I'm picturing him beating the crap out of Arizona as a senior elsewhere.

PJC should stay. Already knows Miller's style of play, and good enough for
back up minutes. Not sure how transferring would improve his playing time.

Sean Miller's greatest recruiting job this offseason may be convincing Simon that his best shot at significant playing time will be after all these one-and-dones are in the NBA and to redshirt next year.

I'd be surprised if all three left. Trier is really unlikely to be close to the first round and is currently more likely to be a UDFA.

Simon, the minutes are tight for next year, there's no doubt. However, he'd have to sit a year, and there's basically zero chance Smith, Ferguson/JJ, Trier and Alkins are here in 17. If Trier leaves, Simon has immediate minutes unless we get JJ and Ferguson.

PJC, yeah, I could see that.

Makes sense to me. Why sit out a year for transferring? But I'm still guessing he transfers. Obviously, it doesn't just come down to the decision of the coaches or player.

I think Simon's biggest issue isn't the guys coming in for next season, it's who Miller would bring in the following season at the same positions.

PJC is going to be 3rd string next year, keeps moving down the bench. Why not start at a mid-major? Look how well Momo Jones did at Iona.

Simon was getting barely more than walk on minutes. That tells you something right there. More importantly, tells Simon something. I imagine a lot came out in the end of season one on one with CSM.

Last time Trier spent more than 1 season at a school? Has to be junior high, he had 4 high schools in 4 years.

Honor the process. Simon had a whole year with Gabe, the perfect example. He's going to have to sit out a year regardless, so after those guys all bail, even with whoever comes in the 2017 class, my guess by that time is Simon will be a completely different player who will provide a big impact. Every year thereafter is icing on the cake.

Safe to assume that Terrance Ferguson will be a Wildcat. His commitment is really important since we have no guarantee Jackson goes to any college and bolt to China.

If Justin develops a jumper, he can compete with any incoming talent we'll bring in. Simon is as physically talented as any recruit we'll get. If he learns Miller's defensive system, really, he only needs a J and it makes no difference who we bring in for 2017. He'll see the court, period.

Looks to me like Gabe York in a weaker conference. A lot of TO's, poor shooting percentage and below average D. I love Gabe York because he was ours, but I'm not sure I want someone elses Gabe York.

Gotcha, sorry, that makes sense. Dude looks like a better passer than Gabe, but that is all stat based. I don't think I've ever seen a Delaware game.

Walking on the UofA mall when it's warm out is about the closest you can get to being at the Playboy Mansion, without, you know, actually being at the Playboy Mansion.

Yes and no. I think all 3 are able to play SF at the college level, as Ferguson would be. Plenty of college teams have 6'5 SF's. Simon and Ferguson are long and can get up, too.

Some MSU fan read/heard he might commit today and asked Meyer to confirm/deny
So that's likely two separate "sources" that said he might commit today.

Crystal ball climbing for Kansas, now at 50% - all signs point to KU now

Smoke = fire?
A "perfect fit" from 97 would be great right now

A summary of the rumors, it's usually something similar to this said in various ways: its mainly between MSU & KU. Josh Jackson wants to go to Michigan State, but his mom and his "camp" are making him go to KU. KU is going to get his commitment. This I've read and paraphrased this from national people, Michigan State, & Kansas people. (Jerry Meyer still thinks he goes overseas/China but if he goes to college -- Kansas).

Now either Josh Jackson is pulling a big ruse on everyone not named Arizona and telling them the same thing, then in turn secretly telling Arizona his actual true intentions & he's coming here.

Or smoke = fire

I have no idea, it'll be over soon.
