Thank you TJ
As bad as I feel with this loss, TJ, (and Zeus, Ashley, RHJ and Stanley if they leave) thank you for your time in an Arizona uniform. It feels awful to watch a season end in the Elite Eight again, but I'm lucky to root for a national power with players who obviously played hard together and cared.

Re: Thank you TJ
All of them gave 100%. This was a special team. Hate to see them lose.

Wish we would have had him for 4 years

+1000. Thank you TJ.
You left it on the court, and typified what it means to Bear Down. You are a one of a kind player.
Edit...found what I needed. Helps to move towards acceptance.

Thanks TJ! Good luck with whatever you decide to do! It was a pleasure to watch you play.
Re: Thank you TJ
He'll be playing for a paycheck. If not as an undrafted FA in the NBA or overseas. Dude's going to make enough $ in the next 5 years to never have to work again if he's smart. Worst case he's pulling down $80k/year in Slovenia or the like. He'll never be a star on the next level, but his talent, intensity, and bball IQ will give him at least a shot somewhere.billk78 wrote:Would love to see him on the coaching staff next year.

Thanks for two amazing years TJ. You far exceeded everyone's expectations and we wouldn't be this far without you. It's sweet you apologized to Miller, but you have nothing to be sorry for.
“The reality is that the hardest games to win are over teams on their home court. Teams that don’t play those games can spin it however they want, but what they’re saying is, ‘We don’t want to lose in our non conference season.’" - Sean Miller

Completely agree. Great leader this year too.AZCatGirl wrote:Thanks for two amazing years TJ. You far exceeded everyone's expectations and we wouldn't be this far without you. It's sweet you apologized to Miller, but you have nothing to be sorry for.
Erlich Bachmann: Richard wrote the code, yes, but the inspiration was clear. Let me ask you something. How fast do you think you could jack off every guy in this room? Cause I know how long it would take me. And I could prove it.

Probably not Lute's expectations. He said Arizona's best player 3 years ago wasn't even playing, it was the one who was sitting out as a transfer.
Re: Thank you TJ
To be fair I missed seeing everyone from Terry to bibby to Damon to Reeves to Kerr to Elliott play since I've only been a fan since the 2002/2003 elite 8 season but tj may be my favorite Arizona player ever.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

Favorite Arizona point guard in a long time, he deserved a Final Four. I'm sure he'll be on the coaching staff in due time

With Damon on the prowl for a HC position it might be sooner than later, although TJ really needs to get some time in as a grad assistant somewhere.

Re: Thank you TJ
When TJ was saying all he wanted to do was get a Final 4 for Miller, I kept thinking I just wanted the guys to get a Final 4 for TJ
I woke up this morning still sad, but I realized I wasn't feeling sorry for myself. I was sorry for these guys. The last few years we have been blessed to be able to watch these young men represent the UofA with an amazing amount of dignity, class, maturity, selflessness, and desire.
TJ
Nick
Solo
Rondae
Aaron
Stanley
Brandon
Kaleb
What an incredible group of men on and off the court
This has been a special group
