Re: Sean Miller
Volume training does NOT increase muscular separation. That's a fallacy. Diet and cardio shave fat, weights build muscle. The only thing a rep range in excess of 8-12 does is build muscular endurance. 1-5 reps are for power. 5-12 are for hypertrophy, above 12 are for endurance and active recovery.
That's actually a decent back for a grainy, dimly lit bedroom. It's hard to look real cut with a cameraphone and a bedsheet for window curtains. The big unanswered question is who would agree to take this photo? I don't have many people in my life who would be into taking a picture like that of me.

Saying this fool has a 'decent back' is as homoerotic as taking the pic for him (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Re: Sean Miller
My personal line is that if you self edit to remove anything that could be construed as homoerotic, you need to get more secure in yourself. Just so this thread doesn't get too far off track, I bet that's how Sean Miller does it.pokinmik wrote:Saying this fool has a 'decent back' is as homoerotic as taking the pic for him (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Broseph, you can't jerk it until you clean it. If you really want to get into Olympic lifting, Bromeo, the snatch is the way to go. When you hit a heavy snatch, it sounds like a Brohemian Rhapsody.gumby wrote:I just want to jerk after I clean.

Surprised no one has started the Miller to Florida rumor.

Re: Sean Miller
Donovan move could affect Miller, USA staff
Billy Donovan's decision to jump into the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder could shake up USA Basketball's U19 staff this summer, and possibly even give UA coach Sean Miller a chance to coach the team.
Donovan was scheduled to be the head coach for the USA team that will compete in the U19 World Championships this summer. Miller and Providence's Ed Cooley are scheduled to serve as assistant coaches as they did last summer on the U18 team that had Allonzo Trier and the core of what is expected to be this year's U19 team.
USA Basketball spokesman Craig Miller said today via email that if Donovan has to withdraw because of his Thunder duties, the USA Junior Team National Committee would probably consider the assistant coaches for the head coaching position.

Re: Sean Miller
Please let this happen. If Miller gets that gig, his already formidable recruiting advantage will get even stronger.
Re: Sean Miller
You never know what the end result will be. Didn't work out for Candrea & Florida hasn't been that great either. Takes a lot of time & commitment. It has worked out OK for Coach K though. I imagine CSM would make it work for him but you have to wonder about burnout.Beachcat97 wrote:Please let this happen. Is the wear down real?
Also, looks like Trier will play in the U19. Seems like a bit of a loophole, being coached by your future NCAA coach during the summer.

Yay! What a wonderful opportunity.

awesome, can't wait to see coach and trier get started together.

I've always felt exactly this way. And having been a way from these boards for awhile now and having read your post on the top of next page, NOT HAPPY. We've got to get to more than ONE FINAL FOUR and soon.97cats wrote:not as of today, but its the only job in AMERICA to pose a serious threat -- i put the odds at better than 50/50 that if he was offered the Carolina job that Coach Miller would take it.jajoyce wrote:97cats wrote:would be a big pay-cut --- or would UNC come up?
Miller to UNC?
Ohio State used to be somewhat of a concern but that has subsided -- Carolina has not.

Re: Sean Miller
Would UNC even want Miller "now"? I know Cryin' Roy hasn't been doing as well has he has, but still 2 NCs there along with an additional Final Four and still getting in the tourney.
Miller needs to get over his NCAA hurdle.

The people who aren't pleasuring themselves in the shower every morning to the thought of having Sean Miller as our basketball coach.... Do they not forget how low we fell? How we all felt at the end of the Lute era, and moreso, how we all felt during that hiring process? It was very humbling. We got lucky with CSM, we VERY VERY VERY easily could be UCLA right now, or worse.
Laughing my ass off....again.
and btw, the UNC thing isn't some big secret to all of us. It can't be at this point. I think it's loomed since Roy's been looking long in the tooth since the day Sean stepped into our Head Coaching position. I've got my own theory's about Sean not getting to the Final Four and I believe "the Pac-12 conference" and "Sean" himself have the most to do with it. Our conference is a hot mess: the HC's attitudes around the league, the league office (just look at the awards handed out this season), the officiating (scandalous quite literally, PJC's lack of a call and out for 4 games anyone? etc etc etc) and Sean himself needs to "loosen" up a bit. I'll leave that last one for your own interpetation, as I've got my own and I love the man.
