Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

That exact hit into right-center was my bread and butter hit. Nobody ever caught on to me, my entire career in Little League. Center fielder would always play me toward left and get burned every time.

EDIT: Oh yeah. I left off :) ;)

Ref gets sent down due to Beltran coming off the DL.

He ended up batting 2 for 12 in 4 games with a homer and 2 RBIs.

Big debate going on right now amongst Yankee fans as to whether Ref is the future of the franchise or the most glaring symbol of its current downward trajectory.

For me, I say play the youth. If they can't hack it, better to find out now than when contracts expire and you're calling up AAA talent to replace former all-stars.

5 in a row and CC drinking from the fountain of youth. Ref batting .185 so that won't cut it for too long. Yank fans want Swisher called up.

Swisher hasn't been good lately. Give youth a chance.

Heard his name in an NPR story about an invasive beetle wiping out the Ash species used for bats.

Not really about Refsnyder at all, they just read his name from the bat maker's to-do list the day the reporter stopped by.
