So assuming he cuts a plea deal does he see the field against us? Does ucla expel him?

I seem to remember ucla ' s secondary making some big hits on our wide receivers early in the game last year and getting penalties but rattling our guys like no other defense did last year....so many easy passes dropped. Would have to think that we'd do a lot better without Adams playing.

Last time we had a football player arrested for stealing something, Arizona happily took one of the players involved. I expect no difference here
As did UW and CU. Maybe Ucla can do a raffle this time since I'm sure Arizona won't be the only school interested.

In reference to what Bug was talking about when 3 ucla players stole a purse - they were all kicked off the team and transferred to other schools. Don't see how he plays TY for Ucla with that precedent already set. Mora wasn't the coach then but DG was the AD and he has the final say. He's a Junior so he's eligible for the draft after this season so it will be interesting to see where he ends up?

Would Rick still be the coach if all 3 had stayed and would they have played that year?

No. I think was trying to salvage his image from before, where he was too lenient on kids at UW. For what they did, took a backpack that was left outside the cafeteria, kicking them out wasn't the answer. What happened is that when he suspended them for the year, the admissions department denied them entrance into UCLA. Once you are denied admission to a school, your LOI is null and void, allowing you to play anywhere you want.

So do you think Ishmael is out for good? What do you think happens to him? Do you know if expectations were that he would enter the draft after TY?

I doubt the charges stay this severe, probably gets plead down to being drunk in public or something similar. Not sure how Mora handles it in that case, but I'd assume he'll sit since Virginia is bad. Maybe even UNLV

BRO is reporting that it will most likely be plead down to a misdemeanor. Another guy who claims to have inside info (rarely reliable, but the guy's handle makes it seem like he's a DA of some kind) says he may be released without being charged at all.

I know you're just being a dick.

Here's what the guy who maybe is connected but probably isn't said:

"This is second hand info from people close to or representing Adams. It's all a misunderstanding. Adams did not forcibly take cell phone and the Uber driver left with the phone. Driver wasn't hurt. Adams is still in jail at family's choice. They expect that DA's office won't file charges.
DA's office doesn't have case yet. UCPD is not viewed as the most reliable agency in law enforcement. Those handicapping feel there wont be a filing. Adams to appear in Airport Court tomorrow. UCPD must present case by afternoon or Adams will be released."

UCPD really does suck, by the way.

What would be the basis to keep a first time offender in jail and attach a 100K bail amount to the charge? That just seems outlandish given what I have read here.

Just reading into this, it sounds like a bunch of over reaction. A cell phone? Just doesn't add up to me.

According to Tracy Pierson, UCPD didn't want it to look like a UCLA football player was getting preferential treatment.

If that's true, UCPD can go fuck right off. This is a kid's future hanging in the balance.

Given what I know which is just what is posted here, I would have to agree with you Bruins. Who sets that bail? Seems way to high unless it was an aggrevated count.

I do agree it could hurt the kids future but we are assuming this is nothing more than a drunk stupid decision/reaction to something

This thing really sounded like the type of thing that, assuming your record is generally clean, gets pled down to something much more minor (like some kind of mid level misdemeanor).

How about alien abduction? Another UCLA alum:

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-bas ... -weeks-ago

Former New York Knicks guard Baron Davis has been a lot of places thanks to his professional career. He's been able to tour all over the United States and has traveled the world as an NBA player. He's translated a lucrative career with six franchises into incredible artistic opportunities with gaming and with the entertainment industry.

According to Davis during a podcast interview with THE CHAMPS, he might have also been to a spaceship recently. At the very least, he says he was with aliens when he was abducted on a drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Via the New York Post:

“I was actually abducted by aliens two weeks ago,” Davis said.

When probed for details, he explained he was driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles in the early morning recently and this is what happened:

“I see this light and it's a big a—truck. And I said, oh f---- this is going to be traffic,” Davis said. :Driving, driving and the next thing you know there's a steel thing and these crazy looking people – half human, half ugly-looking mother f-----s.

“They were poking me on the nose, looking at my eyes, they had my hands tied and the next thing you know I was in Montabello dude, burning rubber on the way back to L.A. at 4 o'clock in the morning.”

Holy crap Rosen looks good. Great touch on deep balls, complete command of the offense and is making great decisions. He does not look rattled at all and has a gun for an arm.

If we can't get pressure on him Sept 26th he is going to pick us apart.

I see nothing from UA so far that gives e much hope we can pressure Rosen.

UCLA ran a set with a couple of big DL in backfield and Jack running the ball. That formation will squash us unless we improve a lot over next couple of weeks.

Did you see the eye black from Vanderdoes? :)

No idea why, they just have taken it right to UCLA and we havent adjusted I guess. How is it Oregon can lose to you guys but when we face them, we get boatraced. All about matchups

Did you see that hug between Mora and Rosen before the game? Clearly not on the same page. He also spoke to the media after the game haha

Even though it was Virginia, it was a pretty nice showing for Rosen

UCLA with that performance while looking at others seams the team to beat. Well coached, great personnel, guided by what looks to be a sunday QB. I thought we could get a break with Hundleys move to the league but that appears to be premature

Virginia didnt get good pressure today, but they did send a lot of blitzes, but Rosen kept his composure while Hundley would put his head down and scramble. Often times he made a good play, other times he was sacked a lot. First road game in UNLV this week, but should be 50/50 UCLA and Reb fans. Mazzone's O is designed to counter heavy blitzing. It struggles when the front can hold the line and get pressure

UCLA has arguably the best OLine in the conference. They couple that with Perkins and some very capable wideouts.

I thought the Bruins might take one step back but they have outstanding personnel snd are so well coached. I can see them doing some really great things this year.

Of course freshman can hit a wall and make you pull your hair out. Keep him upright Bug because that is a steep cliff backing him up.

I hope the entire country continues to ride his jock all the way to the Arizona game. He might be the greatest QB ever. I agree with all the Heisman talk as well - he could win 3 in a row and they will change the name from the Heisman to the Rosen trophy. :D
