You know the company that has the black face paint contract is livid that Ucla has a new DC TY. How do you offset the last 2 years of getting a huge order right before the UA game? Brutal.

As for Clark, if he transfers, he'll need to sit out two years without a waiver. Mora is known for not standing in the way of kids wanting to leave
Thanks for the insight. I'm sure he'll be focused and ready to go in a couple of weeks.

So this Clark kid wants to transfer in conference? To whom?

What about this week Bug? Bruins are really tough at home but they have struggled with physical teams at times. They are giving 16 to BYU which seems high, especially if they get caught looking ahead a little.

The O/U is 60 and I just can't see UCLA giving up more than 21(so the under) as I really like your defense. What is your gut telling you?

In the UVa game, they decided to blitz Rosen and he made them pay by passing. UNLV didn't blitz as much and stuck to the receivers and didnt give much room for Rosen to work with. But UCLA killed them on the ground.

I dont think there is really cause to look ahead. I think the only teams they'd look ahead to would be USC or Stanford. Maybe Utah after the loss last year. Plus BYU is ranked ahead of Arizona so I doubt that is it.

Vegas seems to know something, though I'm concerned about Jack being targeted as a known hothead, by the BYU team. I'm guessing two emotional wins for BYU might leave them deflated?

Clark would go closer home, I dont think he'd go west, being homesick and all

Thx Bug. I love the under in that game and I can see why Vegas and the bettors love the Bruins.

The reason he'd sit out two years is that he played in the first game, starting his clock

we'll need all the help we can get, with our squad approaching skeleton crew status due to injuries, but i do hope to see ucla SQUASH those punks from byu this week and enter week 4 unscathed.

a 5pm(ish) kickoff in tucson could be brutal. triple digit temps down on the field, no?

It would suck if that were the case with the temp but wouldn't that work to Arizona's advantage?

7:30 doesn't sound like a gameday time? I would have thought 6pm (9pm EST).

I would guess 5pm then, given the ABC/ESPN relationship. Wouldbpotentially be an advantage for us I guess

Someone did a study a few years ago at TOS and didn't find any correlation between high temps and UA wins.

Besides, it has been very hot in SoCal, and a lot of places don't have cooling.

oh - haha, i was thinking more along the lines that it would be brutal for the fans, since temps in the stadium are typically a bit hotter than the ambient outside (forecast) temperature. but yeah, i'm sure ucla's had their fair share of warm games up in pasadena -- dunno about 100 degree games, but still pretty toasty. i also felt sorry for idaho traveling to play usc last weekend in a late afternoon game, with the heatwave in LA and all -- the fightin' spuds were coming from 55-65 degree weather in idaho.

Likely but not completely correct. Gameday had gone to sites when the game is on ESPN later or on CBS or Fox

Ah. The program. The one that still fosters walk ons in year 4? So, this is supposed to be win big year 4. Is that what is happening? I see a lot of fear and a lot of excuses. That is not what this staff is supposed to be providing without Stoop's recruits. There are many question marks that need answered.

So somehow that makes you not want game day...? You are making no sense at all and seem to not even know what you're saying. Are you saying that things were better with stoops? And what does having walkons play because of injuries have to do with game day exposure?

Nebraska under Tom Osborn, amidst his NC's, was a culture of having the best walk on program in the country. I never knew you disliked RR Chief? This catches me off guard and a little surprised.

Did something happen with you and the program like UACATS? our program has never been better. Coaching, in game and game preparation, recruiting, program discipline etc are at an alltime high IMO. What's not to like?

Bring on gameday!!!!!

I'm hearing a hell of a lot of excuses and RR is on year 4. Stoops? Hell no. He recruited NFL players but couldn't coach on game day. Injuries........haha. The walk ons were in play no matter what the injury was.

What excuses? There are good stories with RR and Scooby and Anu and Jones and Wilson. But gameday is gonna focus on the lack of depth at MLB instead of those?

Thanks Hater, forgot the south title in the toughest division of college football last year. And Stoops recruiting better, I am not sure of that given this will be RR's for 4 year class that has a chance to get drafted.

Chief, you're a good dude. I am very perplexed at this position of yours

I will definitely be here in 2 weeks if you need somebody to walk you off the ledge?

Chief hates that we keep winning. He keeps giving reasons as to why we shouldn't be winning and for some crazy reason we keep winning.

He won with Stoops recruits? I don't care who recruited them to be honest with you as it's who coached them up that matters. Keep in mind that Bondurant didn't see the field until Stoops was gone. Tevis? A walk-on and do you think he ever gets on scholi or even plays if Stoops is still the coach? Who else Chief? KaDeem? The staff that barely played him was Stoops!! Name a coach that held KaDeem under 100 yards a game in his career? Mike Stoops and Seth Littrell. Those guys should be embarrassed that they didn't see what Kadeem could bring to the table. Antolin getting carries over KaDeem is one of lifes biggest mysteries.

Anu, Wilson, Scooby, Jones, Parks, oh wait, those are the best players on the team now and none of those guys are stoops recruits. The same guys that won 10 games LY. That's Chief trying to bait people into an argument that he has no answers for. We don't win 6 games let alone 10 without Scooby LY. Period. If you were coach, Scooby is playing at Sac State and not at Arizona as you thought he was to small and to slow.

Anu, Scooby, Wilson, Cayleb Jones, Samajie Grant, Trey Griffey, Anthony Lopez, Turituri, Ippolito, et cetera. RR players, and key reasons why we've won so many games and a South title. Were Stoops recruits ALSO part of our successes? Of course. But your characterization gives RR way too little credit.

Unfortunately, I don't know how Stoops was percieved throughout his time here, but I highly doubt given his record that people were thinking along the same 4-year plan as with Rich Rod. That should be the better indicator of our expectations, not worrying about the loss of a star player and his impact on ONE game...

But I am not sure how much of last years 7-2 conference mark we can put on Stoops guys. Our OLine tackles, yes but I think Tagaloa and Lene are capable.

DRich best years are under RR and Sani given his 2 year mission and had to be recruited again is almost a 50/50 recruit.

I guess we will see how the year plays out but if last year was the win big year and was a year ahead of schedule and we fall to say 6-3 this year I think it is pretty hard to say he failed.

I do think the LA schools are the top 2 teams in the south but we are right behind them. Furd I think is a very winnable road game and our 50/50 games are now ASSU and UDub

DC....you are a sell out man. I really don't care what excuses or bunk you come with. A lot of pressure is on this staff and like a lot of Arizona pundits are already saying, Arizona is in trouble when PAC 12 play starts. Sure, RR is a good coach but depth is lacking here big time. We can all sit here and stroke away but is a win over Nevada and a cream puff like NAU even gauge where Arizona is as a team? No. Even a HUGE Arizona homer said on radio today that he thinks Arizona is in big trouble when UCLA comes into town. It's all fun to talk about but the moment of truth is coming.

So Chief, you think there has been a lot of recruiting misses? Lack of development or both?

I agree with the sentiment that UCLA might be a playoff team so if we lose, I don't think that signals a spiral downward. Are you thinking we are the #5 team in the south?

Losing to UCLA, USC on the road and splitting Furd, ASSU, UDub and Utah and going 8-4 is not a failure in my eyes. Is it in yours?

Chief you better be betting some serious cash on the rest of AZ's games with that crystal ball of yours, might as well make some money.

If we do lose to a solid UCLA team without Scooby, how is that the end of the world? Take the best defensive player off of any team and they are going to decline at least a little bit, and this game would be a great win even with Scooby.

P.S. using some schmuck AZ fan on the radio as back-up for your doom and gloom argument is hilarious. Hopefully you've sobered up to go to work today.
