Aaron turns 20 years old today. No longer a teenager.
Let that sink in a moment . . .

"Trying" is a vague term when it comes to James Harden and defense. In fact, the only thing I saw him trying to do on that play was make it look like he gives a shit.

AG is a completely different player this year, and that all started in the summer league. Much more polished and you can see him grow into his potential and athleticism already. Think it was the game before last: caught the ball in the corner just inside the arc, put it on the floor before posting up the smaller defender and backing him down, super quick drop step and beat him. Missed the bunny, but looked like he was fouled. He's about a year from being a problem, and if he stays healthy, I think by the end of the season is when everyone will start to take notice that he may be one of the next guys to emerge into that upper tier of young stars.
His shooting numbers are great so far, 56% from the floor, 71% from the line, only 25% from 3, but watching him in the summer league, this is just based on a small sample size, he can knock them down at a respectable rate. The defense and rebounding we already know about. Tobias Harris is playing well and Fornier has been very impressive at the other forward spot, but eventually AG will be too good to stash on the bench in even a 6th man role, though his versatility will help bump those minutes up.
