Do want to be the one to tell RR to make a change on the Defensive Staff. Regardless of last year team that wasn't hit with injury but still had worst rank defense in country.

That's why Greg Byrne makes the big bucks
Exactly.

GB isn't going to do shit about this defense. Grow a brain. Its RR call and you know the answer.

LSU losing to Ole Miss, could Les Miles be the next UofA coach?

At least we only have one more miserable half to sit through.

Personally I hope RRod sits Anu out of the bowl game. I am concerned that he may be done with football completely if he takes another hit and gets concussed. I would let Dawkins use the bowl game as a 2nd spring practice session and see what he can do.

That creates a conundrum. With Scooby gone I don't think we can win with this defense. If you can't win games then you might as well get rid of Rich, even though probably 90% of us would like to keep him.

Well then thats your conundrum because RR nor GB are firing Jeff Casteel.

I want RR as the coach but I can't stomach this defense anymore. If he refuses to adapt, then he's the source of our problems.

But hey, Arizona could grab Les Miles or Charlie Smart! Maybe Smart could be our DC!

I agree with you.

Obviously you're being facetious with Smart, but I'm confident that $700,000 can buy us a great up and coming DC.

Maybe pushing RR to Miami and finding Casteel a job at an FCS school? North Texas is looking for a new coach...

I would be happy if we just STOP running TEMPO on offense in the 2nd half. Shorten the game God Dammit so our suffering ends sooner.

The scum had 400 yards offense in the 1st half.......I don't want to see 600 yards offense from them in the 2nd half.

All I know is RR days of ever owning the State of Arizona in recruiting is a distant dream. TG will own this bitch from here on out.

So if results matter, what happened last year? Should we have locked RR/Casteel into multi year extensions? And then this year, of course we break those contracts to hire a new coach. Maybe a hot shot with no experience but who had a great year.

Understand the situation of what Gladiator said. Byrnes isn't going to go down that road and force RR to make the call of what to do with Defensive Staff. That RR choices if he feel that the defense can improve under Casteel that they can improve with everyone back being healthy then so be it, but if has another injury prone like how this season and defense doesn't improve then he will make that call. But for now RR isn't going to make a change unless he is force to make a change.

Being an Arizona fan is pretty miserable, most of the time.

It used to be not miserable when we would play asu, but now it is.

If you want to defend our program and the trajectory of this defense, be my guest. The reality is that this program will not have any sort of improvement without a significant change in the approach, culture, and scheme of the defense.

Fumble! Nice start!

ASU's record isn't lying; they are very much the 5-5 (3-4) team their record indicates.

Still more than enough to hang 31 on us in the first half, which is sad/pathetic more than anything else.

FWIW Dawkins doing a good job out there. Definitely moving the ball better than Randall which surprises me.

if you ever feel bad about our program, salty, you can always rest assured that you're not fuegs and this isn't ku football: 12-58 since the mangino years... and their road losing streak is what, 37 now? haven't won on the road since the 2009 preseason to a conf usa team.

here's to the "at least we're not kansas" campaign!

With the financial investment our fans have made in this program, we should expect more than to say "at least we aren't Kansas!"

I respectfully disagree........how we lose is important. We need to hang on to the few decent recruits we have and we need to give potential recruits a reason to believe that we are not rapidly becoming the joke of the PAC12.

Yes, it does matter. It matters to recruits, to the national media, to the fans, etc.

Need to play a competitive game here, even if it's a loss.

In my mind this game is completely on the offense! The defense can only do so much.
