3 on Doos.
Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
I really don't like this main ref. Always calls a million fouls every game and doesn't allow the players to play the game.

Turnovers and missed FTs will be stats Miller will pick on next week.

Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
would it be rude to ask holiday carolers outside to come back during the next media timeout?
Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
16 to's, 12 in the 2nd half.

Ended up missing a good amount of the game. Sounds like PG is a major weakness.

PJC was a liability tonight. Tries to do too much. Just pass the ball into the post. He's making the game too difficult. Over penetrating too causing turnovers.

Cats would have won by 25 if they had a true PG.
But so hard to find now.
Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
Lot of talent there, but discipline and court awareness lacking. UNLV always exposes our undisciplined players. Makes them play too fast and out of control.DaddyO'Cat wrote:Ended up missing a good amount of the game. Sounds like PG is a major weakness.
Kind of like Kenny Lofton as a junior forced to be the man after Steve Kerr's injury. Raw and wild.

Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
Yeah I was just looking at the roster on ESPN. UNLV has always had good athletes but whoah we need more bodies along with a PG. Meaning we need Zeus and Pitts (Pitts, meh but he's experienced and can provide a breather. I couldn't believe how hard the guys continued to play but there was no wear down for UNLV either.. well I'm guessing by the little I saw at the end there).
Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
Allen/PJC
York/Simon
Trier
Anderson/Tollefson
Zeus/Ristic
is a solid rotation. But Simon needs a little more rope IMHO, and our other guards have no excuse for leaving the number of points at the line and in UNLV's hands they did tonight.
Too many possessions KA, York and PJC were all looking for theirs instead of initiating the offense. Even late in the second half. If they thought first of post entry to Ristic, this game is a laugher.

Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
The way things look yeah it may be a good idea to accelerate simon's learning curve and let him make some mistakes by playing, especially while it's still early in the season. My stream was small and blurry and I missed a lot but I also kept wondering why time and again a guard passed the ball right into a UNLV players hands it seemed like.catgrad97 wrote:Allen/PJC

Discipline is required. Run the o and value the basketball. Two concepts largely lost on our guards right now.

Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
Reminded me at times of the way our team played at times back in '04 and '05. Frye was open in the post and we'd have guys trying to create shots and screwing up our offensive flow....then either a turnover or a bad shot.catgrad97 wrote:Allen/PJC

Just give the low post a chance early in the shot clock....chances are guys like York & KA will get a better open look than one they could create on their own. Very frustrating to watch.
We left a lot of points on the floor tonight...especially in the second half. Didn't finish fast breaks well or didn't make the right pass.
An Oregon team with Altman as coach might've beaten us tonight with the way we played in the second half. Thankfully Rice is coach at UNLV. Talented individuals but stupid team. No wonder they blew a 14 point second half lead at home to ASU.

You also want Comanche to develop as a decent back up especially with Zeus still out on injury.catgrad97 wrote:Allen/PJC

Erlich Bachmann: Richard wrote the code, yes, but the inspiration was clear. Let me ask you something. How fast do you think you could jack off every guy in this room? Cause I know how long it would take me. And I could prove it.
Re: Game 12, vs UNLV (2015-2016)
Incidentally, where was Comanche tonight?
