Re: Kobi Simmons
Does anybody remember what game it was during JP's freshman year where it was a one game possession, we had the ball, and the final possession ended up being a JP Prince 3 that had absolutely zero chance to go in?

Part of me wants to say it was against Virginia when they opened their new place. I am not entirely sure though.ChooChooCat wrote:Does anybody remember what game it was during JP's freshman year where it was a one game possession, we had the ball, and the final possession ended up being a JP Prince 3 that had absolutely zero chance to go in?
Re: Kobi Simmons
Was at that game. Still have the ugly orange t-shirt. Can't remember Prince at all, but tbh can't remember anything other than watching Budinger for the first time. And being disappointed by an epic 2nd half collapse.WildcatStunner wrote:Part of me wants to say it was against Virginia when they opened their new place. The fact that they have 2 of the 3 best players in this class imo is helping more.CBCat wrote:Those Sports Center commercials must be helping.gronk4heisman wrote:We aren't passing Duke, nor should we. There's been a pretty strong buzz leading up to KS's decision today. Imagine what it's going to be like in a couple months when JJ decides.HiCat wrote:Beachcat97 wrote:Not counting chickens yet, HC?

Re: Kobi Simmons
I'm not saying it will help, but stronger talent at Arizona can only help the cause of Jackson deciding to go the college route, if his circle is indeed still strongly considering the college route.Beachcat97 wrote:

Re: Kobi Simmons
There are games throughout the day on Saturday, and Simmons will be playing in the 12:30 ET/10:30 MT game. His announcement will come during the 6 PM ET/4 PM MT game that is being broadcast on ESPN. You can also stream it at Watch ESPN, or in the ESPN App.
He is scheduled to announce his commitment at halftime of that game, so the actual decision will come closer to 4:30 or 4:45 Arizona local time heading into Saturday night's game against Washington State.

I'm not counting chickens until the LOI is signed, sealed, and delivered.Beachcat97 wrote:Not counting chickens yet, HC?
An oral committment would be great if he is a young man with integrity and to see if it helps land JJ, but they literally aren't worth the paper that they are (NOT) written on.
Calipari could come up with a spot for him in the next 2 months if the need arose.
CSM is not the only witch in CBB coaching.
Re: Kobi Simmons
I think this mindset is fine if a kid is committing really early a la Dorsey it Leaf. In this instance, the college this kid announces today is the college he is going to. I don't think you have to worry about LOI at this stage in the gameDiehardDave37 wrote:I'm not counting chickens until the LOI is signed, sealed, and delivered.Beachcat97 wrote:Not counting chickens yet, HC?

Definitely want this kid at AZ.
Re: Kobi Simmons
Fouled out with 30 seconds to go and went and shook the opposing teams coaches hands. That was cool.

Yes, ESPN.

Sort of anticlimactic Welcome, Kobi!
Finally...now we can start looking at potential lineups. And the Witch isn't done. JJ is next!

Glad to have Kobi on board. This helps to make up for the fall recruiting disappointments. Maybe we can get Alkins too?
