Too bad Kerr had only one year playing with the 3. But his record will probably never be beat.

Gabe's such a good guy. Took time to take some pics w my son. My son's favorite Wildcat, runs around the house w his nerf basketball saying he is Gabe York. He was in shock when he met him, kept looking around with an "is this really happening?" look the whole time.

Really cool, deuce. Gabe's saying all the right things whenever he's interviewed as well. I'm proud of him - matured into a great example for the UA.

So tired of his hero ball end of game. Thinks he is Chris Paul out there.

Stick to catch and shoot Gabe.

the only player that was worse was Cartwright, and considering how God awful York was on both ends of the floor that's an accomplishment in futility in itself right there for PJC who continually looks like he has no business playing for a program like Arizona

Guys, Gabe just isn't on the same level as TJM and NJ, who really anchored the team and made big plays for us the last three years. He has his moments, but he doesn't have it in him to be the "man" for a championship team.

York, PJC, Allen in heavy minutes combined for 6/24 FGs, 1/9 3PT, 6 TOs.

Not nearly enough offense from the guards. What college ball is all about. We'll get depressingly bounced in the second round if they play this way mid-March.

talent and streakiness is one thing but his ball iq has a multiplicative effect, which is what's frustrating for so many fans.

It is what it is. We're weaker in the backcourt this year. It's why we've lost to Utah, USC, Oregon, and UCLA. They all have better guards.

makes me wonder if our guards would be in a better place if damon was still on staff. phelps has done a nice job with our bigs, but are we paying for it in our backcourt development? i know Miller was a pg, but he's got a more-than-full plate

Yep. At the time of year when guys should be hitting their stride, making big plays, and positioning themselves for March, Gabe is going the other way. He's a streaky player, and he tends to make poor decisions late in the game. Not exactly the kind of player you want to give the ball to in the waning minutes of a tight game. Gabe isn't alone. KA made some bad decisions down the stretch as well.

We'd be in a better place recruiting starting guards who are better than role players. The Ray Smith injury has definitely put us at a disadvantage. You put Trier and him along side each other and you're not having nearly as many issues.

Gabe York is not an Arizona level starter.

Youre an idiot. Seriously. Point to where I have ever seen Gabe was an elite or even great defender. After that, I will point to where I said Gabe is CAPABLE of guarding the best players in the conference, evidenced by what he did against Andrews, Payton and Alford.

Basically, you are the epitome of the kid who couldnt hack it in sports long enough to ever learn something, so you scour the internet for blogs and articles from others who are the same to build up your "knowledge." Go read some more articles and scouting reports of other people's opinions, maybe you will last a little longer in round 2

Yeah. The team we're seeing this year is not the team CSM planned on having this season. How much difference can one player make? Is RS so good that his injury cost us a Pac title? We'll never know. But injuries are part of the sport, and this is one reason recruiting is so crucial. We were counting on KA and MT giving us quality depth this year, and while I wouldn't say either player is simply bad, they're nowhere near the talent of this group: TJM, SJ, BA, AG, RHJ. The drop off in talent this year is obvious, which is why our '16 recruiting class is so important.

He ran the point a bit because Miller was absolutely sick of both his actual point guards. He was visibly upset at PJC/KA's play very early in the game, and it never got better. They were both awful, and Miller was searching for something lineup that just wouldn't cost us.

I just came here to post this. I cannot believe we had as few turnovers as we did.... I would have sworn we had at least that many in the first half.

York, Allen, and PJC have been garbage of late. I can handle the loss, but I cannot handle the way we played on this road trip. The defensive play in the second half was much improved, and we had a chance late to pull it off - but this team is not playing anything close its best basketball at a time when it needs to be.

Ristic has turned into as much of a non-factor as Tollefsen; I have remained optimistic on the team up until this point - but my confidence is waning quickly.

As for York, his lackadaisical care of the ball, combined with his propensity to take shots he has proven he cannot consistently make, has really driven me crazy of late. At this point I will consider our peak goals for the year to win the P12 tourney and make the Sweet 16. I am not sure that we could have expected a whole lot more given the roster we have in place.

Anderson, Zeus, and Trier are a solid core, but not enough to make up for our limitations elsewhere. And while Trier is clearly the class of our guards, his shot selection & decision making are clearly lacking at times; he gets a pass because a) he is a frosh and b) we do not have a better perimeter option.

The bright side is this is as bad as we will likely be for a while. Not too bad for a severe down year.

I love the fact that Gabe has been soundly committed to the program for 4 years but I'm also tired of dreading his streakiness.......sadly, many times he seems to play like someone who should be coming off the bench rather than starting.

I didn't get to see the last 2 games but was his crappy play mostly due to having to play PG duties? Or is he just sucking right now? His BIRD scores were awful this week. Thoughts?

York was getting some pretty good looks, but they weren't going down. And, as usual, he took a few bad shots Definitely in a slump, which is tough because there really aren't any other options, with our piss poor PG play. Also, our rebounding wasn't nearly as good as it usually is.

GMFY, GMFY, GMFY, GMFY, GMFY, GMFY!!!!!!

Catch in flow, elevate, and release in the flow of the jump.

Great move by Coach to free him to shoot in the second half.
