People need to stop giving tarantino a pass just because he's tarantino. It's approaching woody allen proportion in terms of overratedness.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

Ran across a friend, a melittologist, who dropped the fact there are over 20,000 known and named bee species in the world!

My obvious first questions were "Why so many?", and further, "How did they develop so broadly?"

I should have realized his answer would be obvious: "Well, to answer your questions you should get right into the phylogeny. If you'd just study the cladograms a bit, I think you'd have your answers."

Well, with that I quickly told him "I'd better run now. I have to give my horse a bath".

I'm new here. You people are so strange.

Shenanigans.

Did a reverse lookup of a couple of professors and they come up blank, except for that quiz.

Today's mail was a mixed bag. On one hand some golf clubs arrived, on the other hand i received a County Grand Jury notice. If I'm selected I need to be available 2 days a week for 4 months.

Grand juries are a bit different. I don't know how they are picked or whether you can bias out.

I realized this morning that I have business underwear and off-time underwear. If I'm going into the office its striped or solid boxers. Maybe the occasional polka dot. On the weekends it's beer steins and sailboats.

I wonder if I could walk into a meeting and close a deal wearing boxers with hula girls on them...

I think my greatest fear is that I'll have some kind of rare, sudden, near-fatal emergency during work that will require the removal of my pants, and everyone will think, "Hmmm, impressive penis, but poker-playing dogs on his underwear?? Freak...."

I have polar bears, camo, chili peppers, skulls and many others mixed in with traditional plaids and checks and the like. I've actually thought - I'm going to the Y today, do I want to strip down in the locker room and be seen in these cute polar bears, and then selected something else.

I was wrapping some ribs in foil for some 2-2-1 smoking and was wondering what side of the foil touches the meat.

Asked the family:

Wife: shiny
Son: dull

So looked it up:

Which side of Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil should I use, the shiny or the dull side?

Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use both sides do the same fine job of
cooking, freezing and storing food. The difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil
manufacturing process. In the final rolling step, two layers of foil are passed through the rolling mill at the same
time. The side coming in contact with the mill's highly polished steel rollers becomes shiny. The other side, not
coming in contact with the heavy rollers, comes out with a dull or matte finish.

Farts are funny at any age.

My 20mo had a audible fart yesterday, pointed to her bum and started giggling uncontrollably for like 5 minutes. It was hilarious.

This is not behavior she would've picked up from her parents, lol, and it always amazes me thing about how they pick stuff up and and goes through her head.

Must be innate.

Woke up thinking that if I were a tattoo removal specialist the likely entertainment of my client's stories would keep me working that job if I didn't much like the actual labor. I bet they hear some pretty funny, sometimes sobering, stuff.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be completely open and honest about sex with anybody and everybody?

Like ...... a female casual acquaintance tells you she hasn't been fucked in a while and that she's really horny, so you tell her that you're down to fuck and you've got a good size dick but not a ton of stamina and then you find a place, do it, and go on about your lives like nothing much happened. Then you go home, tell your wife about your day, mention you banged Kristen from accounting and remind her to send in the tax return.

How goddamn weird would that be???

We make such a concerted effort to act like sexuality itself doesn't even exist. Basically, every encounter anyone has at work is the equivalent of:

"Hello there again. I don't have sex."

"No, of course not. I don't have sex, either. Which would make it impossible that we'd ever have sex with one another."

"Certainly not. We're both good people who would do no such thing. Why, we'd never even deign to learn how one would!"

"No, not at all. Well, have a sexless day!"

"Thank you. Fuck you hard later in the back of the janitor's closet! Uh, whoops..."

I laughed so fucking hard at this.

From an anthropological standpoint, we only just started not having sex with everyone pretty recently in human evolution. If the scope of all human history was a 12" vibrating dildo, only the rounded tip would mark the time when we weren't just banging anything that came near us. Now all of a sudden we have to pretend we're not cave people and the dinner tonight with my client could never have devolved into some sweaty monkey sex at the drop of a hat.

I love Russian Dashcam videos!

I just keep watching the better/funnier it gets.

1) the car that drives on the shoulder to get around.
2) the russian cursing followed by the audible moo
3) the dash cam date being 2025.
4) the drag of the cigarette on the walk around.
5) eurotrash jeans.

so much awesome in this video.

Mattress Firm. What. The. Fuck. Not sure how it is elsewhere, but in Tucson and Phoenix it seems that every other major street intersection has 2, sometimes even 3 separate stores across from each other. Is there that much demand for mattresses? I mean, I buy one a decade maybe...

There are at least 25 Mattress Firms in metro Tucson...

Are their mattresses THAT good or is this the most ingenious front ever?

It's the same in Chicago. Mattress stores are popping up everywhere suddenly. I have no idea why, and I suspect they'll all be closed again in a few years. People just don't buy mattresses that often.
