Uploading a YouTube Video

Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
Youtube code has been tweaked to allow fullscreen. Unfortunately all the old embeds are no longer embedded...
1. Copy entire embed code from youtube: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/MIgs07y4SL0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
2. Click the youtube tab on the forum
3. Paste entire embed code between tags.

1 embed in the whole thread
Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
I'm trying to go in and repost embeds properly. But it'll take some time, one post at a time.... If anyone want to re embed their clips simply paste the short code into a search engine (LX2nxcKZd8M), open the youtube clip, click embed, select and copy iframe code, paste between [youtube] brackets.

Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
Where am I missing the fullscreen option? Its not on the bottom right on my comp.
Was easy to just go full screen by clicking the vid top bar or bottom right youtube logo.

Full screen does not work for me in Chrome either. I have to copy the link and open up a new tab.

Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
Unless theres a fix for Chrome, it would be easier to go back to the way it was. Less work I would think

Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
Well with the way it was IE and Firefox users could not fullscreen without opening the video in a new window. So I guess it depends on what the bulk of the users here browse with, of which I have no idea. Haha, I'll take the blame. It sounds like it is easier for us FF users to get to full screen using the old way than it is for chrome users the new way. I was just hoping for an easy fix.UAdevil wrote:Well with the way it was IE and Firefox users could not fullscreen without opening the video in a new window. Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
Just to chime in, it isn't working in Safari either. I don't even see the fullscreen button. I usually open on Youtube if I want to see it in fullscreen, so it doesn't matter a ton to me.
Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
Really doesn't bug me if it stays like this but it has added another step in putting an embedded youtube vid on here
Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
I see if I can find some code that works better for all browsers. It's tough because there are so many different embed tweaks for phpbb and they all seem to have their drawbacks.

Post your short code into the outube search box and they will come up.

What I liked about the old embed feature was you could use it from mobile. YouTube won't give you an embed code on phones or tablets.

Re: Uploading a YouTube Video
There are lots of videos I would like to embed which are not from youtube. Is it possible to embed a video using the html code or can we add a button to allow that?
