I'm gonna be pissed if this gets pushed to tomorrow, that will be a huge benefit to them.

I disagree. It gives Dalbec a full five days rest and Cloney would be available. Also, maybe Bannister could pitch a couple of innings. Both teams will benefit if they play tomorrow but no way is it a big advantage for them.

Beckwith already is on 5 days rest. Dalbec will benefit more with the extra day. Plus Cloney will be available. I hope they play tonight but if not, I see the Cats benefitting as much as CC.

They won't start the game after 11:00 CDT, and it's 30 minutes for a lightning strike and 30 minutes for the teams to warm up.

So any lightning strike after 10:00 CDT would push it until tomorrow. About one hour from now.

They already said Beckwith is going to pitch tonight. I hope they play tonight but Dalbec getting an extra day and Cloney being availble with Ginkel no way equals CC having a big advantage. I believe it benefits the UofA a little bit more. Also, if they have to play tomorrow, the momentum CC had is kind of halted due to the one day delay.

Looks like they changed the game to ESPNU. Interesting that they only use that ball park for the CWS? Could it be that they use that other venue while the CWS is going n on then move back to TDA?

ESPN Did Not Have Much Say On Start Time For CWS Final Game

ESPN said the network did not have as much input on the start time of today's decisive third game of the College World Series as people believe. The first pitch for Arizona-Coastal Carolina is scheduled for 1:08pm ET on ESPNU, a network that is in 70.6 million homes. By contract, ESPN (89 million homes) has to show Wimbledon and ESPN2 (89 million homes) has to show the Poland-Portugal Euro '16 quarterfinal this afternoon. ESPN would have preferred producing the game in primetime tonight, when it shows taped programming that could be moved easily for the CWS. The net tonight is scheduled to show an updated “Believeland” documentary that incorporates the Cavaliers' NBA title and “BattleFrog Obstacle Race: College Championship.” ESPN in an emailed statement said, “We offered a primetime window on ESPN as a preferred rescheduling option for Game 3 of the NCAA College World Series Finals. The NCAA made the decision to play the game at 1 p.m. ET. ESPN and ESPN2 have previously scheduled Wimbledon and Euro games airing this afternoon. We were able to find a window on ESPNU and look forward to televising the matchup.” NCAA Managing Dir of Championships & Alliances Ron Prettyman in today’s Omaha World-Herald is quoted as saying that ESPN execs “certainly have input on start times.”
