I used to know his first child's mother and dated one of her good friends in recent years. Dude has had a LOT of drama with these women. He has an interesting way at looking at the world and I'll leave it at that.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
I remember watching Arenas shoot like absolute dogcrap in warmups before the 2001 NCAA Championship in the Metrodome and thinking he had absolutely no business playing through his injury in any other game but that one.
I'm starting to believe that Gilbert had absolutely no business doing many of the things he did, except for "Gil being Gil." Brilliantly talented but immensely troubled basketball player who hopefully won't do more to damage Lute's legacy.

I posted this in another thread, but it goes better here. I drive to and from Phoenix for work and out of boredom, I started listening to his "No CHill Podcast". I'm hooked. It's a must listen for anyone who likes basketball, but the first couple of episodes are especially fun for Arizona fans.

Omg...those early episodes about his HS/AZ years are incredible. Great find, ASU!
I have heard stories about Gilbert’s predraft international pimp answer. Pretty awesome to see RJ and GA tell that story. Showing up to predraft workouts in chucks is legendary
That was hilarious. God, I miss all of those guys. Truly the glory days of AZ basketball.
Loved the story about how they would feed the ball to the best match-up like GA against Casey Jacobsen of Stanford.
Whenever I see GA, I keep thinking of that damn injury in 2001 against Michigan State. We should have won it all that year.

I fly like a hawk, or better yet an eagle--a seagull. I sniff suckers out like a beagle...My ego is off and running and gone, Cause I'm about the best and if you diss than that's wrong
Legally speaking, an engagement ring needs to be returned if the marriage is not fulfilled, since it's based on a promise which is a legally binding contract.
Which it the only thing I remember from the Business Law class I was required to take about 1982-ish for my major.

Anybody actually think his son is going to have a normal recruitment? lol
No way. Which is why I’m really only interested in him as a prospect if he’s a high-impact player, immediately able to contribute in year one. There are other good prospects at his position.
ZonaZealots put up an article where it says that Gil is pushing him to go G-League.
Isn’t he the #1 SG in his class? Sounds like he’d be able to come in right away and make an impact.

Not sure where he'd go to in the G League, the Ignite folded after this past season didn't they? I thought that was the developmental team for kids straight from high school.
