Evacuating category 5 Patricia last year with my wife 1yo old and inlaws was the scariest situation I've ever experienced. I feel for what the southeast is going through.

Just received notice that my Saturday flight is cancelled. Earliest rebooking was Tuesday. Honeymoon postponed. Wife is devastated. But our problem is minuscule compared to what has happened in Haiti, Cuba, etc. and what Florida is bracing for. Hope your friends and family are safe.

Was 99 in Tucson today. Forecasted to be above 90 more or less for at least the next 10 days.

Please make it stop. Though unfortunately according to the national weather service we're in for a rather warm and dry fall/winter. These are the models for Nov/Dec/Jan

Yerp. 15 straight days of temps 5-10 degrees above average in Tucson with another minimum of 7 days above average forecasted. Fall is out there somewhere. Though I can't complain about the nights and early mornings.

Going to a beer event on 4th Ave on Saturday that involves a lot of outside walking and I was hoping it'd be nice but it is supposed to be 94-95+ still. Boo.

Yea that was odd.

I think we're going to set a record for longest streak of 90+ degree days in Tucson between October 7th and 30th. 24 days total. Unless they downgrade the forecast yet again and have it being in the 90s into November.

This is why people from Arizona aren't excited about Halloween. By Halloween, we've about had it, and we recall the childhood sweaty sensation of a mask with no joy. I was shocked to go out into the world and see how much people love Halloween. Just get me to Thanksgiving so I can look forward to three months of comfort.

Weather this week has been great finally, upper 70s/low 80s. Will warm up to the mid or near upper 80s the next few weeks though. Which by mid November is 5-10 above average still. Oh well.

Halloween is usually the day the weather turns. Its cool at night but still toasty during the day. This actually is my favorite weather.

one of the largest temp shifts i can remember in Tucson though. low to mid 80s today...mid 50s saturday. things don't usually swing by 30 degrees here.
