Yea, what happened to the football idea. They are off, the stadium will be empty. Can you imagine the buzz of 25K for a practice outdoors.
Maybe as it gets closer they will look at it again. Maybe they fear rain and will lock in the 10K if they have to move it to McKale. The rest could watch on the Vizeo at AZ stadium and they could charge them 5 a seat

Nice to see you can have your tickets delivered to your smartphone.
“The reality is that the hardest games to win are over teams on their home court. Teams that don’t play those games can spin it however they want, but what they’re saying is, ‘We don’t want to lose in our non conference season.’" - Sean Miller
by 1130 at this rate. doesn't help that there are about 4600 less tickets that normal. only 10000 total since the entire east side of the arena will be blocked off because of the renovation. the NE and SE corners will be open but all the due east seats in the upper and lower levels and that part of the concourse will be inaccessible for the red/blue and exhibition game.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

gumby's only half-joking, as the Red-Blue game was, in 1989-1990, indeed free and held at Brophy Prep in Phoenix.
Insane how fast the tickets are going now. If I could find someone who could split the cost and go to the Thursday games, I'd be all in on season tickets.

The football program could learn a lot from the basketball program regarding uniforms. Those are pretty sharp.
Although I am a traditionalist more than most regarding team colors, I really like those gray shorts.
They will be used as alternate home and road jersey. I thought I would dislike them but they are actually pretty sharp looking. I am not a fan of 2 sets of white homes. I wish they would've made the 2nd home jersey a throwback to the 80's. Then that would be the best set of Unis in the nation!
So it won't be shown live, in honor of showing some PAC FB games huh? My bet is that it would draw a higher rating than said FB games...

I was at an event this past week where Greg Byrne spoke about a variety of topics. One topic was television revenue and our impact on it.
He mentioned that the most viewed by all game in the conference was the AZ/UCLA game on ESPN which drew 1.35m viewers. 2 nights later UCLA playing at home against ASSU also on ESPN drew 121,000 viewers. A 90% drop.
He noted CU Likes to say that the buffs had the #2 and #3 most watched games (he showed their tweets about it) but what they failed to mention was that both games were against......Arizona.
He then rolled out the top 10 most viewed games and low and behold everyone had AZ playing. Man I wanted to pick up the phone and tell Larry Scott to link my sweaty hairy balls

Larry knows this. He knows when he's in Vegas too, the entire strip is literally covered in UA stuff.
