I know Miller doesn't like it but this situation calls for a packed in 2-3 zone........we are on the road and piling up fouls with a 7 man rotation. We need to shorten the clock and keep out of foul trouble.

No. It's a slow ****ing start when you turn the ball over five times in the first five minutes. Mizzou's complete impotence against Arizona's defense covered that up.

Yeah we definitely turned it over too much. But that prevented a very fast start. Big difference. Slow start is what happened against Gonzaga and Michigan State.

This whole game, Mizzou's defense by necessity has gravitated around Lauri. His presence is so important, and Arizona's guards get credit for making Mizzou pay. And great defense by Arizona, just a little deflated by foul trouble for a stretch. I'd love to see what this team could do with depth. Overall, Arizona is looking very well-coached.

I wonder if it's a psychology thing, but refs seem to get skilled big men off the court in a hurry if only one team has one. Arguably all five fouls today were legit, but two were borderline, and it's the borderline calls and no-calls that consistently go against skilled big men. And often it starts with a quick whistle for what should be no-call, right in the first minute of the game just to get those fouls tallying. Almost as if the refs need to level the playing field by getting rid of the biggest advantage.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those 3's were open because the Mizzou defense gravitated around Lauri. We didn't have those looks during the stretches he was on the bench. But f that happens every game, then yes, we're shooting like this every game.
