Lute Olson Dec. 15th: 8-)

" Arizona head coach Lute Olson thinks the sophomore is close to returning."

“With Allonzo, none of us know what’s going on there, but I do think he’ll be eligible in the second semester,” Olson told a KVOA

I'm guessing Coach O's being modest. (the ultimate connected insider who knows

He's definitely close to being on the court. He sits on the bench, and that's only a few feet away.

Ace left himself an opening, where he stated "this season".

Speaking of Ace, saw this posted somewhere and thought of him. Fortunately for Ace, both convictions (in AZ and NV) didn't carry prison terms.

Allonzo Trier doesn't know when he is coming back, so the idea a reporter would doesn't make much sense.

His is not a business model at work. He, and people like him, operate on personal need of recognition and attention. There are lots of guys there who are good fans and are cool to chat with, and they put up with the Punjab Bro-Pappy just to do so, but he can't make bank off of them so he compensates by strutting around like a boss grabbing ass and threatening to fire the mail room clerk.

I was an original member before ace and it was hard for me to leave until I found this place. I just put up with it because I had nobody else to talk to about my obsession. Thankfully, I have found my safe space. Besides, you know, when BC97 posts

I did not know about this place until this year, last year I posted simple comment about not paying for the private forum because if you just wait everything eventually is known...Ace went off on me published my personal email that I signed up with called me all kinds of names made fun of my background and was just a complete dick I asked him to delete my account (because there was not an option to do so) he refused...if I was a vengeful person I would have shut him down....but no reason being like him...instead I just mock him and it is better.

Nothing gleaned that most of us haven't already heard/figured out, but at the game I talked to someone who spoke with him directly and they got a pretty confident "soon." The one cool thing the person told me (and I cant believe they actually asked it), they asked him if he regretted coming back. He replied with an empatic "no."

There's a lot of stuff still left to do this year. I'm sure the year hasn't been fun for him up until now, but there's plenty more to come.

I have no trouble believing that....His visible attitude, tweets, interviews, reports, etc. all lead one to believe he's just a really cool, good teammate and nice Christian young man. I can't help but to be a big fan of his BUT am so disappointed with his injury last year and this crappy situation (whatever it is) that have limited seeing him in action.

If he comes back soon, plays the rest of the season, then the sum result would be a little over a full year of competition play over 2 years? Too bad because he's so damned exciting to watch....love his slashing ability to the rim and, so often resulting in a +1 opportunity afterwards.

Arguably our #1 player that we've had to miss out on. 1) Getting Zo back, 2) getting PJC healthy and 3) no more injuries for the rest of the year could provide us with a really exciting opportunity to make some serious noise in league play, P12 and NCAA tourneys.

My way too early prediction based on the 3 premises above is: 1) Top 2 finish in the P12 season, 2) winning the P12 Tourney in an upset of UCLA or Oregon, and 3) Elite 8 or FF in the NCAA Tournament.

Too bad the dumbas$ lopsided P12 schedule means only road game @ UO with no McKale visit this year....my biggest complaint of our conference right now. Would love to see us all reduce the OOC by 4 fewer games so we could have a complete and fair regular conference season play.

That would be a best case scenario IMHO and I would be ecstatic with that! BTFD.

I walked by him after the game outside McKale signing autographs for an older fan, who said he was from Finland and was looking for Lauri. Then Trier went back into McKale to look for him. I thought that was pretty cool.

I also heard an interesting rumor that we should not be praying to the NCAA gods but the gods of Kidneys and Livers. No idea if it's real though

That's what I took from it. I was having a hard time putting the "no" into words, because the person impersonated the face when they said it. When I heard/saw, what popped in my head was, half he's an alpha dog and a sleeping, pissed off giant who is going to take the whole semester's frustrations out on other teams; and half he knows that this team is going to do something special in March.
