We went in the end of September. The weather was decent, things weren't too crowded.

I love D.C. I was there last in February 2015 when it was 20 degrees the whole 4 days. I could spend 10 days there and not see everything I want to. My wife and I spent 7 hours in the American history museum alone.

It's different there now, since Trump has now drained the swamp.

Went there about a month after 9/11... The weather was outstanding, and the crowds were miniscule, though that might have had something to do with the attack. Got to see the hole in the Pentagon firsthand actually. I was very impressed with the metro system (never experienced a subway growing up in PDX) and the city is extremely walkable. As a dumb 20 year old I actually missed the last train of the night back into Arlington because I was obsessed with seeing the Lincoln memorial deserted at night, so I ended up walking back to my hotel. I only learned a couple years later what a bad idea that really was given DC's incredible crime stats. It was worth it though, stumbling upon (back in the day of folding paper maps) the Iwo Jima memorial at 2 a.m.! Despite all the nonsense thanks to our government past, present, and future, it's still one of the best trips I've ever had, and hopefully I can make it back one of these days. My personal favorite was the Smithsonian air and space museum.

Was just there in June. D.C. is always awesome. My favorite part is seeing and touching moon rocks and seeing the actual space suit worn on the moon, still covered in moon dust. Just amazing.

Definitely take a Segueway tour.

I couldn’t believe it was free. Of course all the museums are free, but I would have gladly paid money to get into that one.

Besides that, best thing I did with a few hours off was hit my weed pen while flipping off the White House. Also free.

Go to the Kennedy center for performing arts!

It’s free, every night at like 5 or 6 pm they have musical performances from invitees groups from around the world. Great classic way to start an evening out and one of my favorite things to do whenever I’m in dc. Friday nights they have drinks and it becomes a real fun party/happy hour scene. Right across from watergate hotel for some cool picture and on the Potomac.

And as you're walking in you can flip off the Saudi embassy which is always fun.

Go have lunch or dinner at cafe Leopold in Georgetown, you’ll thank me later.

Newseum was awesome and thanks for the recommendation. Able to also run around the Mall and did flick off the white house...felt good
