Meanwhile, in Flagstaff, NAU is in first place in the Big Sky - undefeated in conference play. I don't think they have been in first place afrer the second week of the season since before I spent a year there in 69-70.

They did win the conference in 2003 and go to the playoff in 2013

Can someone explain this to me:

NC State has a 4th & 10 with 27 seconds left. Clock stopped from incomplete. Clemson calls timeout. So the clock is really, really stopped. NC State converts (18 seconds left), but there's a flag for illegal shift. Move back five yards. The the clock starts to run on ready for play. Shouldn't the clock start on the snap, since the clock was previously stopped?

AZ should have beaten them last year. I think the pac has propped them up long enough. Sucks but better than them getting blown out in a playoff game. Really hate short week games. Leads to upsets.
