Colonoscopies are underrated. The key is to get your own mind dead set on maintaining some slight fraction of consciousness following the anesthesia.

Then, after the technicians wheel you into the room, and the doctor rolls your limp body onto its side, parts your paper dress, and inserts the tube up your rectum, you start to speak casually to the staff members in the room who are analyzing the inner contents of your colon as its projected onto the monitor.

The physician and nurses are completely startled by this, and the fact that you're on drugs with a hose up your ass gives you license to say anything you damn well please, and otherwise never would. Enjoy.

Last time, I did esophagus and colon. Two-fer! All prepped and the nurses walk in. Turns out I knew one of them. Male.

At the end of my work day I had heaps of admin stuff to take care of before leaving for next week.

I took a walk before settling in back in the office

Went by an ampm, feeling particularly self destructive

So I had a cheddar wurst and chased it with the grandmas chocolate cookies.
