Went through some of his video the last few games. While I havent had the time to watch many full games of his, he looks night and day compared to his time in Tucson. More fluent off the bounce, better at creating off more than one or two dribbles, his jumper looks natural, uses the hop to get into shots and not just spot ups.
I never thought his shot was broken, but he proved to be a hard worker here. He is showing off the same hard work in the NBA. He looks good, even if regression to the mean is coming.
"Plus, why would I go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros."

Tonight he was even hitting off balance shots. Looked like a stronger Durant on a couple.

In his first six games, he averages 31.3 points with 47% FG, 36% 3PT and 90% FT, also averages 4.5 rebounds and 4 assists. Fogg is still far from the averages of the top scorer of the competition, the American Darius Adams at 42PPG, Jared Sullinger at 40PPG and Jimmer Fredette at 38PPG
I kinda want to watch some games after seeing these scores and scoring averages (also did anyone see that Jimmer and Steph Marbury had a tussle?). Sounds like entertaining basketball.

Tonight Teej takes on the baby-faced assassin in Oakland.

I noticed most of those in the game I watched. It was weird first seeing it, looks like a completely different player took over his body on offense. Just really fluid and smooth looking in all aspects. He lost the herky jerky, still growing into his body/athleticism he had. Cant remember if it was Josh Jackson or someone else guarding him, but he just glided by someone on a baseline drive from the corner and had nice finish, and I was like, Aaron Gordon? Was so smooth and quick.

Ended up at 26 & 13. Bulls are tanking nicely and it’s not remotely Lauri’s fault.

Was something to hear Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas say, heading out from the NBA TV halftime show of the Lakers/Bulls game, "Don't forget...DON'T FORGET LAURI MARKKANEN!!!"
Lauri had a pretty crap game, but that was the point...if you are the Lakers, don't forget about him.
It's been a short sample size, and hopefully he doesn't swoon later in the season, but the idiots talking about how the Bulls got fleeced and got "nothing in return" and the worst high pick for the Butler trade are probably starting to feel stupid. Except people like that don't feel stupid...they just stick to their argument and come out when Lauri has a single bad game to crow even though the stats show different.

Very few of them left. Lauri won most people over in the first week or two of the season. That's why it's not wise to make bold statements/predictions about players you have only seen play 2 or fewer times.
Some great stuff in this article including video of JT explaining how he gets zero points and still ends up the guy in front of the camera after a Bucks win.
Lauri went for 24 & 12 and the Bulls snapped a ten game losing streak.

JERRYD BAYLESS

24 mins | 6 pts | 1 reb | 0 ast | 0 stl | 0 blk | 2 TO | 2-7 FG | 1-5 3PT| 1-1 FT | 5 PF | -9 +/-| Summary: Jerryd Bayless stepped into J.J. Redick‘s starting spot once more. Once more he failed to produce in the expanded role. That left head coach Brett Brown no choice but to try Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot in the role. Bayless poor scoring, aggressive fouling, and absence in other measurable statistics was tough to see once more.

20 mins | 8 pts | 2 reb | 1 ast | 2 stl | 2 blk | 2 TO | 4-8 FG | 0-2 3PT| 0-0 FT | 2 PF | -17 +/-| Summary: TJ McConnell tried to be the spark tonight. He didn’t have much luck getting scores from his teammates, so he tried to alter the game on his own. His two steals and two blocks will fade in the course of this game, but it stood out to me as a young man trying to impact the game any way possible.
At the moment: 6-11 for 15 pts; 2-4 from 3; 5 boards; 3 dimes; 2 steals; 1 turn.

The less TJ has had the ball in his hands to set up the play the worse they've been this late in the game.
