Wife goes out drinking with friend and comes home, I get crazy laid

I go out drinking friends and come home, I end up eating a tortilla, some precut salami, and end up message boarding.

Talk about double standards

I was station surfing the other day in my truck, and a C&W Christmas song came on about this kid rushing into a shoe store, and the kid was saying his mother is dying and won't last the day, and wants to have some nice shoes when she meets Jesus.

So the shoe store owner gave the kid the shoes in the spirit of Christmas.

It's no wonder I dislike C&W music. But probably has to do more with all the acts looking and sounding the same.

That's actually a Christian song - you just heard some C&W cover.

Me too.

I has hate the "Christmas" version of hallelujah. Complexly devoid of the pathos that makes the original so great.

But that's what fundys do, the strip the Bible to its most literal form, losing the messages that are held in the metaphors.

The irony is she's dying because she couldn't get out of the way of a DUI driver due to the old shoes she was wearing. If her son had done this a day ago, his mother wouldn't be dead.

The moral is basically "too little, too late."

Not a political post (wrong board, I know), but I think Elizabeth Warren is kind of sexy. In our evolved parlance, "sexy" can only refer to a 1980's woman-empowering view of another, usually much older and powerful woman from a heterosexual, and in fact non-sexual, perspective, thereby undermining every man's understanding of "hot" (or not). Therefore, I'm right.

It really comes down to three types of television commercials these days:

1. Use these drugs to enjoy an awesome life of bicycle rides and farmers' markets (subject to a lawyer's laundry list of possible side effects);
2. If you've ever used this drug, had this medical procedure or otherwise seen a doctor, please call our law firm immediately because you may be entitled to compensation; and
3. Things Shaq is pimping.

This is because marketers have woken up to the fact that television is a deep dark pit of misery that you throw bushels of money down for no apparent reason.

And that people who are sick do watch it, and Shaq can still move product.

In '83 or maybe early '84 I was walking to campus from my apartment at Speedway and Country Club, limping from a sprained ankle and Dom Deluise stopped to give me a ride to school. Only time I've knowingly met a movie star.

People actually pick up pennies?

I used to have to glue quarters to the sidewalk in order to try to get people to pick them up.

I used to coach my kids in different sports as they were growing up.

Absolute worst part is the parents. This is rec ball, non-competitive, non-club. Parents take it so much more seriously than the kids do.

When discussing with wife how I jacked up my car, it didn’t help things when I mentioned that the radiator isn’t technically part of the engine and to look at the silver lining...

“Well in my world anything under the hood is the engine”

I kinda had to bite my inner cheeks to keep from laughing at that one.

The fact that some white sorority girls got kicked out for singing along with the N word in Lil Dicky and Chris Brown's "Freaky Friday" just proves the truth of the joke in the song that leads to the use of the word.

That word gets used with the joke being the body switching allows the white guy to indulge the secret desire to use that word. Then these girls go and prove it up by singing along. It's like the joke crossed the Fourth Wall.

Anyone have any idea on how Youtube tracks it's video views? Does merely clicking to the page count? Does a certain amount of the video have to play (20%)? Or does the whole video have to complete?

A view is anything that lasts more than 15 seconds. For videos that are shorter than that, just clicking play is considered a view.

Found out why he was angry today and just left. His anniversary date is this Sunday and on Monday he would have got his PTO. Since he said today was his last day the company won't pay those 2 weeks PTO he would have got.

We had an employee who came over from another firm in town. His wife was pregnant when he came over, and after a couple of months of him working here she had their baby. He took the 6 weeks paid paternity leave that is given to employees here that does not count against sick or vacation time.

While he was on his 6 week paternity leave, he decided to go back to his old company.

But took the entire 6 weeks at full pay, just never came back.

Good for him!
