Fun game.
"Arizona got uppercutted out of the 2018 tournament by No. 13 Buffalo, which delivered one of the most overwhelming, lopsided upsets by a double-digit seed in tournament history (89-68). "

Not nearly as fun as watching the 8th place team in the PAC12 beat KU in Allen Field Houseenfuego wrote:Fun game.

This is more than one guy. There is something wrong with this team.Longhorned wrote:The missing piece is Alkins. Even with him back in the lineup. There is no justification to be trailing ucla by 10 points at half with our talent and their coach....

The refs are certainly trying to screw us with the foul and non calls!

Re: Game 25, vs UCLA (2017-2018)
The Cats aren't even playing like a good NIT right now. And I agree with the assessment that they are totally disjointed. It's like they don't know how to play as a team. It's very frustrating. I think a lot of it has to do with one-and-done players. It can make for ugly basketball.
Re: Game 25, vs UCLA (2017-2018)
We need to stay aggressive and look to score in the paint
Re: Game 25, vs UCLA (2017-2018)
Our defense stinks..........but, we have to score to win and we are now down 12 with under 14 minutes to go. Time to
try an offensive lineup. I would like to see some DS/Randolph on the perimeter with Trier. Sit PJC/Alkins. We have GOT
to hit some shots.

It's February, and I guess I have to conclude that this defense is helpless.

UA playing 2-3 zone

Get PJC out please

IMNSHO, when you lose to ucla at McKale, your season sucks...

That's where I am at. They are clueless and lazy on the defensive end. Not a good comboLonghorned wrote:It's February, and I guess I have to conclude that this defense is helpless.

Its comical watching PJC try to make a layup. Can he even make those when no one else is in the gym?

Re: Game 25, vs UCLA (2017-2018)
I don't even feel bad about this because it's too cut-and-dry. Arizona isn't going to defend. You're going to lose a lot of games and go home from the tourney early if you aren't going to defend. Nothing to have angst over in that case.

I was called out otherwise, but the eyeball test says PJC makes 20% or less of 2 foot shots when an opposing player is in the paint.

Such a disappointing team

This team is less than the sum of its parts...
... that's coaching, not players.

Amazingly, if we beat USC Saturday night we are still the favorite to win the Title.

What a miserable season
Re: Game 25, vs UCLA (2017-2018)
Ayton keeps waiting for a foul with contact and there is no way a ref is going to call that. Just play.
Re: Game 25, vs UCLA (2017-2018)
Time to sub 5 for 5 and send a message. Nothibg else gets through to the players so sit them for a while.

When it is all said and done I believe Arizona is an 8 or 9 seed.

Miller is a better recruiter than Josh Pastner, just can't coach worth a shit.

Hard to know what to expect next season. I know this season isn't over. I have to be honest I have a feeling Miller won't be our HC next year. I've had that feeling since the FBI investigation started. I hope It doesn't happen but something just isn't right.
