I thought the offensive foul was a reach... hard to blame him on that one...Longhorned wrote:I'm trying to imagine all the ways PJC doesn't pick up a fourth foul while trying to defend Holder. I can't come up with any.

If we lose this one I'm going to break out the single malt. Team, please keep me from myself!

Aykot needs to step up. He's the Dutch boy with the finger in the dike.
By step up, I mean guard the perimeter, and protect the ball on offense and not try to score.
Trier needs to show what he's made of at the point.
It's the only path forward because PJC has six floor minutes left maximum.

Worried about a Azubuike situation with Akot in a close game this season, it's going to happen.

and to start the 2nd half, we come out like .... well let's just say not very good
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
Re: Game 27, at Arizona State (2017-2018)
WHy does Dylan Smith continue to play???? He's costing us this game.

Problem is, neither Alkins nor anybody on Arizona's bench can play basketball.

We require this type of condition to initiate a decent D. And then ...well, the outcome is uncertain.PieceOfMeat wrote:and to start the 2nd half, we come out like .... well let's just say not very good

Miller will probably have a better record at Pitt next year than he would at Tucson, anyway....

Our guards are seriously getting their ass kicked. I have a feeling our 2nd round NCAA game is going to look a lot like this.

It's like our team doesn't pay attention to the scouting report when it says justice steps into all his threes

Take out Ristic or Ayton and lets see what happens.

Correct, and blame is on Miller.Longhorned wrote:Problem is, neither Alkins nor anybody on Arizona's bench can play basketball.

Bench still with 2 points among the 5 scrubs.
Re: Game 27, at Arizona State (2017-2018)
Our guard play is just bad all around. Bigs can't help if no one can get them the ball.

I actually think Akot is pretty decent.Merkin wrote:Bench still with 2 points among the 5 scrubs.

Trier has no idea what to do with a smaller quicker defender.

He does have the only points on the 2nd team, but he did miss those 2 FTs, got to hit the freebies

Not really sure why people thought that.
Not really how Miller coaches
