Terrible first half, but this is familiar territory. We should go on a big run in the next 10 minutes.

Obviously we shouldn't like the high score of this game.

Fuck this Buffalo coach. If Arizona doesn't play so dumb and settle for bad shots you'd be down ten. What a cocky fuck.

Ayton killing the defense with absolute no attempt at playing help-side defense, PJC getting torched repeatedly doesn't help.

For this game i think Randolph instead of Trie and we blow them out. Trier is pressing to much not playing within the flow of the game.

Outrebounded by 6 in the first half. No D.

We won't win like that.

I wouldn't expect a huge run. Buffalo isn't going to go away. Their guards a more than capable of driving on our guards. And they'll start attacking more and more. I'm genuinely nervous because we didn't pound the ball inside and get them in foul trouble in the first half. And we should have.

PJC is killing us. No handle, can’t guard can’t hit wide open 3s or layups. Sit his ass down.

PJC & Trier are a combined 2-12. Not good for two subpar defensive guards. Totally getting outplayed.

Great programs bury a team that gives Arizona's first-half effort. Without hope of second-half comeback.

I just find the whole attitude of "bad first half, but so what?" really not conducive to proving yourself as a Final Four contender to anyone. Whether you think they underestimated you, as Ayton claims, or not.

We need to start knocking down our perimeter shots and we need to be more aggressive and get into the bonus earlier in the half.

A lot like our last two pac 12 tourney games at the half. Expect Miller to make some adjustments and us to pull away late.

Arizona isn’t going on any run if they can’t get stops.

yeah they hing 40 on us pretty easy... we got to get some stops.

Ayton has to dominate.

We all knew it would be a dogfight and I expect it to go down to the wire this way.

They have been playing like this all year. It makes me cringe when people pick us to advance. We have the talent but I feel like no desire. You can’t be missing layups and making stupid unforced turnovers. If they get hot so be it. But let them beat us at our best.

So we have to hope Ayton starts protecting the rim, and Buffalo doesn't continue to kill us on 3-pointers. It's hard for Ayton to protect the rim when he's guarding a guard. And it's hard to defend the 3-point line if Arizona isn't getting back in transition. Will be interesting to see.

Yes. Go out and curb stomp them.
Then do it again, but against Kentucky. From the opening tip.

Play like you're actually trying to prove something to the world--not like conserving energy and fouls are more important.

The defense and rebounding just isn't there. Unless/until that changes, we are going to have a tough time. The adjustments that need to be made aren't really tactical.

I think that's really an issue, something going back to the Lute days. Cats play tentative since they are used to PAC refs calling the games really tightly. Ayton especially.

Exactly. This is a halftime deficit of intensity. Not of strategy.

We're Arizona. We need to assert our greatness, not adjust to the best shots of others.
