I'm sure that people really see the progress in calling their cable provider for all those conference tournament games they don't have access to.
After all, anybody who REALLY wanted to see all the games would be in Vegas with tickets right now, right?
It must feel amazing to get a six-year contract extension for running the worst-run power conference in America. Hats off to all the university presidents with their priorities straight.

But our expenses are exponentially higher so we distribute much less to each school. He is limited now on revenue increases without the direct TV contract. I would be happy if he could reduce expenses starting with moving those offices out of three High rent of the SF area and lowering he and his infrastructure salaries which are outlandish

Good point 49.....A pet peeve of mine is ignorant/misleading reporting of stats like this....who the heck cares about revenue??? It's NET profit (after tax profit) and distributions to the schools that is the real stat of interest.
We could make 10 billion in Revenue but if our expenses were 11 billion that would obviously be bad.....did this guy even graduate college? Or am I missing his point? If he were smart or responsible he would at least point out to the ignorant (i.e. ASU grads, etc), that Revenue isn't Profit......not understanding the objective of his tweet....smh.
Hey Chicat, can't you please rename this thread and give Larry the proper respect he deserves? How about 'Larry Dbag Scott' or 'Larry Out To Get Miller Scott'?
Wouldn’t it be great if more than 15% of the country had the opportunity to watch Khalil Tate?
Thanks Larry!
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
There has been grumbles for years and no one is making the move. Why? Also, CBS sports having to pay for highlights that promote PAC12 products is stupid. Essentially Larry's genius idea is to have other networks pay to run PAC12 ads.
Tate should be a mandatory highlight reel at the end of every game on every network.
It’s 2:10 am on the east coast and the best game of the Pac-12 season still has 8 minutes left in the 4th.

Lol Washington, the number 9 team in football, vs the 6-3 Stanford is preempted on fox by car racing.... Took me 5 minutes to find fs2 and this is sad. Thanks larry

Same thing just happened to me. It isn't like it even is a big Sunday Nascar race...just some Friday night stock car stuff is more important than top 10 PAC 12 football
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
I would be shocked if more than 1,000 households were watching that race.

What does he get payed to do? Isn't this like one of the top things on his list - to better the exposure of the conference. What a moron. Maybe ASU will hire him as AD once Anderson gets fired this summer after he can't find a better replacement for Graham.

Yeah if only they didn't just unnecessarily extend his contract until 2022 for whatever fucking reason. If the Pac-12 continues to go down the drain the next 5 years the presidents have only themselves to blame.
This belongs in the football forum, but ultimately it belongs in the Fire Larry Scott thread. Unreal interference and typical bullshit Larry Scott dissembling about it.
“An independent veteran official who viewed the play also told Yahoo Sports it was “clear targeting.”
Targeting wasn’t called and Tago stayed in the game. The replay report obtained by Yahoo Sports states that “unfortunately a third party did not agree” with the call. That “third party” was Pac-12 general counsel and senior vice president of business affairs Woodie Dixon, Yahoo Sports sources have confirmed.
As we all know, this is not news. Larry Scott is corrupt

The PAC-12 is the only major conference with 12 teams. Hard to do something with another conference. What does the SEC do with the other 4 teams in their contest with the Big 12?
That said Larry Scott is awful

I think the bottom 4 teams of the SEC from the previous year are left out. Anyway, the only thing that matters is that other conferences are able and willing to figure it out. The only thing the Pac12 is willing to do is pay a commissioner a lot of money to suck.

I see. Not idea but if the other conferences are able to do this then Larry Scott needs to get on the fucking phone right now and get something together with the SEC, ACC, Big Ten or Big 12.

If other conferences aren't willing, he should be on the phone begging and fucking pleading with them to do something. Unfortunately the other conferences know the Pac12 has fucked itself and they have no reason to help it out.

Thanks. Really good read. That was a pretty huge "accusation" to leave hanging in the air at the end. Arizona fans know the answer to that all too well.
Some context is required as well. This is the same conference which had Ed Rush as the director of basketball officiating who put a bounty on Sean Miller DURING THE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT!!!!!
All of this crap has happened under Larry Scott. How can any university president put up with this?
