Local media should stop feuding and subtweeting each other.

In other awful announcing news, this terrible MNF crew will be back next year. Booger’s stupid elevated seat that blocks the stands, Witten’s wooden delivery, and Joe Tessitore’s inability to tell one player from another will be coming along for the ride.

I kind of dislike both at times like this. The only person I never see getting in to any mud is Ryan Kelepire. Seems like a super nice and stand up kid. I don't see Matt Moreno get in to anything either. Granted I don't know the Tucson media all that well. I miss Berk. Glad he is still on our side.

Edit: Lev is pretty good at staying out of it even when Scheer goes after the Star

Didn't he (AA) also royally piss off Miller a few years ago? At a press conference.

Oh why oh why???

I would pay to listen to Romo do MNF commentating. Just get him a box somewhere and stream it. Witten and Booger might be worse than Joe Buck and...anybody paired with Joe Buck

You say painful, I say hilarious. That bit about who Bill wants to be the next coach at UCLA was pure gold.

I think Obama is more likely

A public university in the state of California located in LA, the heart of the #metoo movement taking Pitino to be there coach...I almost wish it would happen and then bet on how long it takes for him to be let go before he coaches a game

Oh and by the way Vitale is a massive piece of shit behind belief for pushing pitino on that job

Don't talk about Jay Williams like that. He's done a lot to combat societal attitudes towards sterotypes through the release of the pictures of his diminutive genitals. That is truly brave.

About those play-by-play guys who call games for football, basketball, and baseball on both TV and radio.

TV has got to be harder because you basically have no purpose. The only reason people aren't muting you is because the audio feed cuts off the public address announcer, who tells you what the ref's call is while the camera guys are fucking around and showing stuff nobody wants to see. Your main job is to repeat the call on the floor while trying to keep the poorly trained, former athlete, color commentator from getting out of hand.

Is there a way to throw out all traditional practices and do a better broadcast?

Oh baby, can’t wait to hear John Smoltz hate everything about the Yankees and baseball in general for however many games this series goes.

Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever heard an announcer shit all over the game he’s broadcasting like Smoltz does. Every homer is a cheapie. Every pitcher a scrub. Every manager can’t hold Bobby Cox’s jock. If only things were as great as when John Smoltz was winning the World Series every year. Oh wait...

He was far from good.

“No analysis necessary” was possibly his best comment of the night.

His game breakdowns were fair to middling and his chit-chat was fairly fucking awful. No one invite Jon to a dinner party.

When he keeps talking about “flow” and how it’s what they’ve been talking about all year (2 games), the “no analysis necessary” was a welcome relief.

He’s like a bad Dakich impersonator.

When he told stories, not good.

Let's give credit where credit is due...

... Joe Crispen (FYI, I never heard of this obscure uclan before Wednesday nite) noted how many times he lost to Lute Olson-coached teams!!

Yeah that’s what I meant in the in-game thread. Most of these jergoffs invent an imaginary narrative and stick to it (repeatedly) despite any kind of factual evidence or relevance. It’s why Tony Romo is such a revelation—an analyst analyzing what’s going on on the field in real time.
