She did alright. She didn’t like the parts when the “old man who smokes blows everything up” and was scared when the car was being chased by rednecks to the tree lot and when he almost fell off the roof, but she wanted to keep watching and enjoyed, I think.
Now watching the soothing balm of Arizona basketball.

Can pet Cats & Dogs see what's on a TV screen very well? My pets respond to specific TV sounds like birds and barkings but I'm not sure how well they're seeing the screen when they're casually gazing at it.

Our dog doesn't even acknowledge anything on the screen and only responds to sounds occasionally. I honestly don't think he can see anything, yet I've seen other dogs and cats respond to things on the screen. Maybe some breeds see things differently?

My pup (Border Collie - Cattle Dog) will occasionally watch TV for minutes at a time. She is acutely aware of motion on the screen, and especially animal sounds.

Re: The Random Thoughts Thread
My old dog (rest in peace bud) would only noticed l the TV if I paused it when it happened to be focused on a person's face. He'd growl and get angry and bark at the tv since he thought a stranger was in the house. So that tells me dogs are easily smart enough to recognize human faces on things like screens.

When my cat is asleep on the chair next to my computer, if I put a cat video on, she will wake up, stare at the screen, jump onto the desk, put her paws on the screen, climb around the back trying to find where the cat in the window is, an try to locate the soyrce of the mewing. She will even pay strict attention to wildlife documentaries with t8gers or lions on screen. She will sometimes watch people if they are in one shots, but doesnt pay attention to birds.

Dude, this one on Riggs road has a fucking bar full of craft beers and wine (ok wines, but still) right next to the cheese kiosk that would make the Sac Whole Foods seriously jelly. Then I went to the one on Gilbert Rd and it was the exact same layout, lighting, concept.scumdevils86 wrote:My dad lives next to a new one in AJ and it's pretty dopeCalStateTempe wrote:Holy shit some of the newer frys supermarkets in chandler/Gilbert are ridiculously awesome.
Like people getting actively drunk snapping photos watching the cowboys game while others are shopping right behind them. And it actually looked fun, not lame.
The Seafood and Meat section, rivaling higher end markets that I've been to in London and Zurich. In the middle of suburb Arizona.
I have to give credit where credit is due. There is obviously a market for it and at a price point much less than AJ's from all the stuff I have checking out. And I hated Frys when I lived in Arizona (birth - 2004), always preferred Safeway.
Big ups.
Re: The Random Thoughts Thread
I've actively avoided Fry's since college when I bought a rotten chicken from the one on Hayden and McClintock, but the new store at Midvale and Valencia is pretty nice. I often stop there after work.

I think the sandwiches are average at best but I love me some pizza fries or buffalo ranch fries.
Re: The Random Thoughts Thread
The sandwiches aren't why you go to eegees. They are thoroughly mediocre to bad. Eegees and ranch fries are it.

Re: The Random Thoughts Thread
Question for the music heads here...what was going on in rock in the seventies and early eighties that lead to band names based of locales? Boston, Chicago, Kansas, readily come to mind but I’m sure there are others. Just curious how and why that took off.
