When was the last time we scored this few points?
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Is 39 enough to win this game?

Will we score 40?
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
We'd be killing Oregon if we were half way decent.

Yeah, maybe not. We can't knock down a wide open 3 to save our lives.AZCatGirl wrote:Well we got the bad half out of the way.

I think we are modeling uclas game plan, turn it over, don't score, be down a lot, then come back in the last 3 min.
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

How 'bout we win the road and split at home?

Well, we're blowing away the record low FG% in McKale so far.

If you think this is bad just remember that Washington plays a better zone defense than either Baylor or Oregon

So we just needed Barcello to shoot a 3.

For zero offense, this crowd is really great.

Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Well Saturday just became a must win. At least we tried to come back.

Miller was telling them to press and they all went back to pack line
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Barely break 50 at home. Just sad.

Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Those two front ends really hurt
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Two observations:
1) Miller STILL can't coach against a zone
2) The only way the UA gets into the NCAA dance will be by getting hot 3 days a row in Vegas in March

So does fouling Oregon's 98 percent FT shooter.Postmaster wrote:Those two front ends really hurt

3. UA still can't run a press letting the best FT shooter on the team get the inbounds passdmjcat wrote:Two observations:

Is Jamele on Oregon?
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Maybe the next AD can stop these dumb color outs. We never seem to do well with them.

Not just one bad half, but BOGO free bad halves tonight.
"Off night"...or players just taking a night off?

We got decent looks from 3. Starters made 3-17. That's the entire game. We shoot our average %, we win.

If you can shoot the 3, shoot the 3.Spaceman Spiff wrote:We got decent looks from 3. Starters made 3-17. That's the entire game. We shoot our average %, we win.

Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
We aren't stacked with penetrators. Smith and Coleman can't finish. BWill can, but he's young. Randolph sort of can, but is easy to shut down bc he never really creates for others.dovecanyoncat wrote:If you can shoot the 3, shoot the 3.Spaceman Spiff wrote:We got decent looks from 3. We might actually be better at shooting 3's than penetrating.
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Is it sad about this year's team that--in a conference of unranked teams with UW and UCLA the undefeateds leading the pack--this not only doesn't surprise me, but that I am indifferent whether you're right or not?AZCatGirl wrote:Maybe they were looking ahead to the Beavers?catgrad97 wrote:Not just one bad half, but BOGO free bad halves tonight.

Too many nights like these in recent memory, on national TV, which the team looks so at sea on the offensive end of the floor, the non-jaded fans have to change the channel or do something else. I'm becoming numb to this sort of underwhelming, non-standout effort.
Part of how we "do what we do" in a Players' Program, I guess. Gotta take two or three nights like this a season anymore. Just harder to take, even in an off year, in such a weak conference.
Re: Game 18, vs Oregon (2018-2019)
Absolute what the fuck with Altman taking an Alford timeout there
