My freshman year - Jan 87 - we got like four inches of snow on campus.

I’ve had a few situations where, given the context here in the UAE, I kind of felt like somebody dropped a coiled up spring set on a hair trigger in my lap—“Ok, Bill, be verrry careful how you handle this.”

Sometimes I think they do it on purpose.

Just drove to Phoenix for a wedding and it was snowing on I-10 all the way from Vail to like Tangerine Road. Never seen that before.

I'm out I like Broadway and pantano and it's starting to transition back to rain after like 4 hours. Probably 2/3 of it will be melted by sunset though.

Around campus there's like none on the ground but it's still snowing. As soon as you go east or North a couple miles though there's several inches on the ground.

Fun watching my social media feeds with pics and vids of all the snow-covered saguaros back home in Tucson. Meanwhile we've had lots of good snow here in Idaho. We have something like a 70% chance of rain/snow mix headed our way for the next 6 days. Lots of good snow pack for the mountains. Enjoy.

Snow is great for a once or twice a year oddity and chance to enjoy it.

I think the high today is like 39, which is like 32 degrees below average

Yea I feel like I'll come to hate the months of Jan, Feb, and March because if the cold and about mid June to mid August because if humidity and mosquitos.

Even though I left Michigan in 1976 I recall vividly how much I hated February and especially March since in March you get a few nice days in a row and you think winter is over. Then you a real cold rainy and windy storm come in that just ruins your weekend.

Still raining some and it's supposed to get down to like 27 in town tonight. Since it's so wet out, everyone beware of the roads icing up overnight into the morning. And Tucson doesn't salt roads or anything to take care of it so it may be dangerous early tomorrow driving.

So smart me decided that since we left Michigan when I was six I never had a chance to get sick of snow, so I decided to go to NAU. That year we had a drought and didn't even get an inch of snow for the whole season. Pathetic.

Biggest snowfall I remember in Tucson was in May of 72 or 73 or something like that. I think we got about 5 inches on the west side in the early afternoon. It was just about all gone before nightfall.

May would be insane for snow. Record snowfall for a single day in Tucson was 6.8 inches on December 8, 1971

I know May sounds insane, that's why I remember it so clearly, and that is the biggest one I remember, and I specifically said 'on the west side', on purpose (specific location where I was at was at the corner of Ajo and Mission).

Don't forget that the 'official' stats come from the Airport which is miles from Ajo and Mission. I don't doubt that the official record is different from my memory, but I have confidence in my memory specifically because May is a stupid time to 'expect' snow in Tucson.
