Phew, after apologizing to the Softball gods, Harper with the 3 run bomb to give the Cats the lead again!

P.s. that 3-1 score was only the 2nd time all conference we've been losing (per twitter)

Malia follows that up with an RBI single. 5-3

Peanut gets into the scoring with an RBI single.

Cats lead 6-3 after 2.5. We batted the entire order in the top of the 3rd

Cal definitely putting the ball on the bat today.

Glad Taylor got out of that inning with the strikeout.

Have to sweep UW and can't lose more than 1 to UCLA to win the conference. I do find it amusing that Arizona, UCLA, & UW all lost a single game to a bottom feeder team in the conference to keep this race as close as it is (outside of UW being swept by UCLA).

Cal's pitchers all have ERAs over 2.00. They're literally nothing special.

Just couldn't get the runners in when they had the chance. Losing to the #3 team by one is not the end of the world. I believe in this team and I am not worried at all. They are too good Playing Washington & UCLA to end the regular season is brutal but not will help them when they begin the postseason.

Finally, anyone know why Kean has not started the last two games? I know she pinch ran yesterday but they need her bat and speed in the lineup.

I couldn't even begin to fathom why. Coach sure does love putting in seldom used players in big series though (see Hanah Bowen vs FSU).
