Nothing compared to Dorian, but my sister just sent me a picture of her backyard under 8 inches of snow - in August. She lives about 100 miles east of Jackson Wyoming on the Wind River.

Pretty bad, but probably 1/10th what why wife is dealing with though.

No doubt my daughter wishes she was back here in Cali. Her NC friends are probably going: "Aren't you glad you left California and not have to deal with all those earthquakes!"

As you can see, my grandson is very concerned.

When the storm came through Sedona it was 1/4 mile visibility and raining like coastal Oregon, but it didn't make a dent in the lowest monsoon rainfall on record.

Girlfriend just drove thru Marana on I10 and said there was light wind and some rain but nothing crazy. Willcox did have an EF1 this week that touched down. Damaged 4 homes and injured 2. We've only have 21 tornadoes in Tucson in the last 70 years. Last one was an EF2 in 1994.

ha tornado warning cancelled 13 mins ago:
Tubing season at the Salt River was cut short by 1 week due to the rain on Monday. Salt River is usually flowing around 1K cubic feet per second. It peaked at 40K cfs. Water level rose 15'. Historic flooding for that area

Yes they are. A full day of pure Heaven, from Clarkdale through Jerome to work in Prescott Valley, back through Dewey, Humboldt and Camp Verde all the way to my doctor's appointment in Cottonwood this afternoon.

Pure window-down weather the whole way, with a fresh, fine mist dissipating over Mingus Mtn. this morning to boot. My afterlife should feel so mild.

Forget fall. A record snowstorm is threatening Montana this weekend

https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/28/us/septe ... index.html" target="_blank

"A winter storm warning is in effect until Monday morning for portions of north central Montana, the National Weather Service said. It may amount to as much as 30 inches in lower elevations, but the mountains could see three to five feet."

The report mentions Flathead Lake. I grew up north of there near the Canadian border. We had 6" of snow one morning in late July 1972. The climate change denial wingnuts will have a field day with this one at least because the NWS had something to say about it. (The NWS is a Muslim organization that hates freedom.)
