Crazy how different it is in FCS. Only 1 conference title in 21 years, only 2 post season appearances the last 15 years, and 6 losing seasons the last 15 years.

There are reports The Pirate wants to go back to Texas Tech.

Mack Brown to UNC
Re: Coaching Searches 2016
Auburn telling Malzahn that he has to accept a reduced buyout and other "rules" in order to stay as coach.
His buyout is 32m, 15 of which due immediately and the rest over 4 payments.
I'd say no thanks, goodbye, let's find some golf courses to retire on.

Man, that sure brings back the memories of Scheer tracking the flights from El Paso and hanging out at the Tucson airport trying to find Tim Floyd!

Not sure how serious the Pirate might be but you have to wonder how much the replay fiasco and his thoughts on the PAC 12 leadership has to do with potentially leaving Wazzu

Looks like we need a new running back coach.
Re: Coaching Searches 2016
This is a great hire.
Re: Coaching Searches
It would be funny if he left USC. The NFL coaching pool must be pretty thin to want to take on a failed college HC who is now just a OC.84Cat wrote:

$17.7M buyout!!!!! These marginal coaches are making bank. Has Sumlin spent any of the $10M aTm paid him?

Re: Coaching Searches
Bob Stoops is only 59? I would have guessed 70 as long as he has been around.
Good figurehead coach though, pretty impressive resume.

Re: Coaching Searches
I’m positive Deion floated his own name.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

If Ed Ogeron can be a successful college HC, then lots of people can potentially be successful college HCs.Chicat wrote:I’m positive Deion floated his own name.
Like, lots of people.
Re: Coaching Searches
I think Deion would actually work well at FSU...

Me too! Any trojan fan that claims Coach “O” would’ve failed at sc is living a freaking lie.SCCats wrote:For every Christmas from now until the end of time I’m going to wish for Clay Helton’s salary and job security.
I’ve actually heard that a few times. They royally screwed the pooch on that one and I love it.

Too bad Heeke couldn't get rid of Sumlin. Leach should have been hired by Arizona a long time ago.
