The entire team is the embodiment of Smith. Great games v. cupcakes, but completely falls apart against real teams.

The refs are unbelievable but the two stories of this game are how profoundly ice cold Nico Mannion is, and Gonzaga is too good for Arizona. It's not about being bigger, it's about executing against Arizona's defense.

There is a lot wrong with this Arizona team. The rebounding and defense aren't good enough to hang with good teams if you don't have a stellar point guard, and Nico is showing himself to be a bit of a black hole.

Nico looked great against Illinois and the weak pre-conference teams, but I haven't seen the leader we hoped for. I don't think this team's falling apart mid-game and having a weak point guard are unrelated. I hope he becomes the point guard he was hyped to be, but I'm not seeing it.

Credit where it's due: 10 assists to 3 turnovers, but the turnovers were killers and he literally shot 15% at high volume.
