Let's hope for another quick start, good rebounding and a recover from the heartbreaking loss on Thursday.

When I tried DVRing the game, FS1 has boxing in that time spot.
Does anyone have a solution to that? I went ahead and DVRed the boxing just in case it was a slip-up. I can't find the game on any ESPN or the Pac-12 network either.

Should be a barn burner. Especially considering the Beavers gym looks like one. The 30 or so people in attendance will undoubtedly wish they'd stayed home.

No worries! Fox Sports 1 fixed the problem earlier today and it is scheduled to be DVRed.DiehardDave37 wrote:When I tried DVRing the game, FS1 has boxing in that time spot.

Looks like the Beaver is ranked about 61 by the NCAA’s system. So if you want to maintain the idea that we can make it to the S16, you have to very consistently beat teams like this.PieceOfMeat wrote:is this a must win game?

I’m unusually nervous for a game against OSU.

Big question if we come out flat. Guys seemed really bummed about the last outcome. Bettors seem to like the beavs to cover

Re: (M) Game 16, Arizona at Oregon State (2019-2020)
I think it is. But if you ask many of our fans a 'good loss' is not only acceptable but from it we can fabricate convenient metrics indicating how and why we should have won. So with that logic we can never actually lose a game.PieceOfMeat wrote:is this a must win game?

Re: (M) Game 16, Arizona at Oregon State (2019-2020)
It's not a must-win. We could lose tonight and then win the next 10. Unlikely but possible.
But...going 0-2 in Oregon would not be a good look for this team.

If this one continues how it's beginning, it's hard not to put this on Miller. Team doesn't look prepared.

All coaches deserve criticism at times. The difference between someone like Wooden and someone like Miller is that the former achieved something so mind-blowing, so utterly unmatchable, that it probably made his fans exercise considerable restraint before issuing criticism, even when he clearly deserved it. With Miller, his greatest achievements are E8s and Pac titles, not exactly the kind of success that should be making us swallow our tongues.Merkin wrote:Careful. Also probably pretty close to being true.

Re: (M) Game 16, Arizona at Oregon State (2019-2020)
We are getting killed on the boards........15-8 in favor of OSU.
OSU has turned it over 3 more times than we have which offset the boards a little.
Will a Sean Miller team ever learn to use the bigs to screen at the top of a zone???

Re: (M) Game 16, Arizona at Oregon State (2019-2020)
How could we be getting so killed on rebounds against a team playing zone? Can you imagine how differently that half would have gone?
Re: (M) Game 16, Arizona at Oregon State (2019-2020)
Because we don't know how to attack a zone. We usually just pass the ball around the perimeter with little or no movement, and then jack up a contested 3 with the clock running out...........that leaves our 3 guards on the perimeter and the bigs out of place. You have to break down a zone and get it out of place (we don't do that......and never have). DWWDLonghorned wrote:How could we be getting so killed on rebounds against a team playing zone? Re: (M) Game 16, Arizona at Oregon State (2019-2020)
It's the same picture year after year. And we have the ideal type of players to attack a zone this year. This is another poor reflection of Miller. We're not trying to split atoms here. Figure it out already. Good God.dmjcat wrote:Because we don't know how to attack a zone.
