WSU vs. Arizona Game Thread
No one started a thread. Guess no one wants to talk yet.
Arizona is down 9-8.

Frustrating game so far. Holding a team to 22 through 16 minutes is great. Scoring 18 is just terrible though

A bit rusty. Brown and Matherin look good though. Just take the lead before half.

28-24 Cats at half
Re: WSU vs. Arizona Game Thread
Yeah, this'll definitely come down to who wears down first in the second half.

Agreed. Our bigs played great against the best front court on the west coast in usc. Now we're looking bad on the boards against wsu. What a difference a couple days can make

Let's just win our last two games as well.

Any idea were Kerr was tonight?
Re: WSU vs. Arizona Game Thread
Best defensive effort all year. Rotations were solid and WSU maybe had 4 or 5 open shots all night. And a few of them were on lucky bounces or rebounds. Very impressed with the D.
O took a little while to get going, but it was more of just shots not falling in the first half. Had a couple of good looks that just didn't go down in the first half, and it caused us to be a little gun shy with shooting. Result, too much dribbling and bad possessions. Shots starting falling in the 2nd, and we ran away with the game.
Last, kudos to Ira Lee. All he does when he's on the floor is play with energy at 100%, all the time. It's those little hustle plays that often make the difference, His ceiling isn't as high as other ahead of him like Brown and Azulis, so I understand the limited minutes. But got to like a guy that gets the most out of every second. Best play of the night, with just over 4 minutes to go, up 12, game still in a little doubt, and Lee goes up for a rebound, ends up tapping the ball twice before securing it. On the other end, T. Brown gets fouled shooting a 3, and it's all but game over. Lee got the rebound just by out-hustling the WSU player. Unlikely the play changes the outcome of the game, but Lee's hustle allowed us to shut the door and leave no doubt.

I also love how Lee is the biggest cheerleader on the bench - his attitude is tremendous even though younger players are playing a majority of the minutes.
It just feels like he loves being part of U of A basketball and ain't that refreshing.
