I still think Hagler-Hearns Round 1 was the best single round of boxing ever.

A little late to this, but Mudd's legacy is divided.

His actual work for CBS was solid and quality.

Then there was his personal advocacy, as an "objective journalist," to whitewash the name of a distant relative, Dr. Samuel Mudd.

Who actually, as it turns out, WAS a conspirator in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, WAS a Southern sympathizer, and WAS friendly with John Wilkes Booth on several occasions.

No matter what Roger Mudd tried to get people to believe otherwise. And that tarnishes his legacy, frankly.

Still, RIP hopefully, because he's going to have a lot of talking to do with his dead ancestors.

Growing up a Laker fan it’s sad to hear of Elgin’s passing. Truly one of the greatest Lakers ever, and is always in the top 20 of all-time NBA discussions.

Always disappointed he retired before the ‘72 ship and never got a ring due to all of those Celtic losses in the 60’s.

I saw Coach Larson a couple years ago crossing 6th heading to a football game. Seemed to be in pretty good shape for his age. Used to do color for games on TV when I was in school.

RIP Coach

He was coach when my dad was at UA 62-66. Then when I was at UA 1998-2001 he was in McKale everyday, just because. He lived and breathed UA basketball.

He did a reading and book signing at our local Barnes & Nobles that I took my youngest to a few years back. Nice man. Generous with his time.

His books are so simple and amateurishly illustrated I’m not sure how he ever got published but kids love his work. RIP

Less is more so often.

Our young kids often teach us to just appreciate the simple things. What parent hasn't bought the most awesome expensive gift for their small child only to find the kid more interested in the box it came in?
