What are the chances Robby Bobbins fucks this up with some asinine out of left field hire?

Sounds like the candidates would be….

Someone needs to comb through his past heart patients and see which ones have ties to softball coaches. Please god, just listen to Coach Candrea and let him lead the search

I really think Candrea is going to have a say. If he does, I think it would be Lowe since she has been working with him for 9 years. I also think him staying on is a plus for Lowe.

This is absolutely meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but I went to high school with Stacy Iveson, and she is truly an awesome person. Even if she’s not head coach, I hope she sticks around the program. She’s been there off and on since Candrea was hired.

Larry Ray. His year in 2004 is that broke our streak of consecutive World Series.

It was pretty clear when watching any games this year that she was being groomed and at times appeared to already be the head coach. Congrats to her and hopefully she can carry on the tradition.

Wait, was the job even advertised? Being a former employee of a state university, hiring for every position is extremely regulated to avoid any favoritism and the job must be open for X number of days.

The Board of Regents had carved out an exception for hiring a head coach. It appears that still stands.

I'm wondering if the outcry by boosters, social media, etc.. regarding the CSM firing process woke those idiots up. If they would have screwed with Candrea's plan maybe the Barbarians would be at the gate?

Probably not. More likely that softball is not big enough to feed their ego.

Anyway, glad for the smooth transition. I think Lowe will be awesome.

Candrea is so highly regarded and beyond reproach in every way. CSM was damaged goods, and Sumlin was a failure.

It looks like Candrea's leaving was a jointly planned package deal, and everyone involved has known for some time.

CSM and Sumlin obviously had no say in a replacement (as they shouldn't have...)
