Theoretically it could if it just made its way thru the Dean of Students office (which is who suspended the two.)
I find it hard to believe that’s something they would suspend him for.

Often times the police report and the actual charges are vastly different. Could be that what’s in the police report caused someone in the administration to feel the need to sit them down. Student code of conduct and charges to hold up in court don’t always match.
I knew our bats would save us after that awful first inning, but wasn't sure how the bullpen would respond after those suspensions. Glad they got the job done and hopefully we can finish this tomorrow night.

Great win tonight. Ole Miss Coach probably thought they could score enough to start their #2 tonight and win. Then close out the series tomorrow with their ace. When the Rebs scored 3 in the first, strategy looked brilliant. But we shut them cold for 8 straight, and our offense does what it does. Deep counts, timely hitting with some power, and innings with crooked numbers.
Not sure why Vanelle pitched the 9th after we scored 3 insurance runs. But at least he had a quick inning. Hopefully Irvin can have another great outing and give us at least 7 tomorrow. Keep it close, and I'm confident once we get to the Ole Miss bullpen.
Ole Miss is putting all their faith in their ace to pitch tomorrow. But dude threw 150+ pitches last weekend, including pitching on Monday. So, anything can happen.
Vanelle was always going to pitch the 9th, partly for the routine, and partly because he’s good, and partly because he’s a senior. Johnson is kind of a man of habit with stuff like that.
So some guy(Eric Sorensen) tweeted we NEEDED this win because we are facing their ace(true) Nichazy tomorrow and this thing is going three.
I hope our guy East Coast Cat is right and we have so many quality at bats that we pound these SEC fools. Come on cats, one more

I’ve ran into a few around town and they’ve been very nice, happy to be here. They just think Nikhazy walks on water. Maybe he does. We’ll find out tomorrow. Also, I’m sorry Elko tore his ACL, but he looked pretty average tonight.

So we are facing an all-American tomorrow so won’t be easy. We just need to have quality at bats and be patient via working the count. Thats this teams best quality offensively.
And if Irvin is on his game this will be a fun ballgame to watch.
There’s nothing better than shutting down a SEC team and send the packing because they believe nobody is better than the teams in their league.
Elko looks pretty average if you have enough intelligence to figure out how to pitch to him. Which is why he crushed the SEC since returning.
His stance is completely affected by that knee, he's looking dead red because he can't sit on the back leg. We threw him off speed stuff and he wasn't even close to putting the ball in play.
Fun game last night, crowd was kind of dead, but it's the first game I've been to since moving back 3 years ago and might be the last for awhile as I'm moving away later this year. Will watch from the couch tonight because I don't feel like being out until 11:30 with how slow these games move

NC State bounced back from being annihilated yesterday to beat Arkansas today. I’m not holding out hope, but it would be amusing if they could take them down tomorrow.

I was checking a few Ole Miss boards and of course the typical “we are playing like shit and Arizona is not that good” comments plus they hate their coach.
My favorite was “the team needs to realize they are not facing the Vandy staff.”

Haha, I did the same thing! I wanted to know more about Nikhazy. I learned, however, that “the Corbett” stadium is a dump, and they should win because they have a nicer stadium and better attendance.
I also learned that a lot of their fans are tired of their coach and they were very complimentary towards Johnson.
Our AD or president or whoever needs to lock Jay Johnson in now. There’s a lot of love for him elsewhere.
