Oh that post was about the home run I bet. Don't have News so I'm a bit behind.

Damn
Re: 2021 Season
Have you guys heard about Elko's injured knee?
Re: 2021 Season
Great at bat by Kato. Brings up Bullard.
Re: 2021 Season
It sounds like there are more ole miss fans than UA fans at the game
Re: 2021 Season
Nikhazy seems a little crazy. Has Karinchak/wild thing vibes. Dude is always talking to himself
Re: 2021 Season
54 pitches thru 2 innings. That’s not sustainable right?
Re: 2021 Season
Nikhazy over 50 pitches after two innings and very frustrated. Really like where we are.

Need to start getting louder than the ole miss fans
Re: 2021 Season
That passed ball costs us at least 1 run
Re: 2021 Season
Hasn’t been locating.
Re: 2021 Season
Bullpen time.

Okay Jay, it's seriously time for the bullpen.

Re: 2021 Season
Are we trying to win or just get thru this one and get to game 3?
Re: 2021 Season
Probably don’t have the arms at this point and trying to stretch guys tonight unless we can keep it manageable
Re: 2021 Season
This is getting depressing.
Re: 2021 Season
You know, it's kinda hard to make a comeback when you keep letting them score.

Re: 2021 Season
I do still love Donta’ Williams, though.
Re: 2021 Season
This is just an old fashion ass kicking. We look horrible in all aspects of the game.

Re: 2021 Season
I know tonight was awful, but I don't think we'll roll over so easily tomorrow.

Re: 2021 Season
So we are at home for game 3. We probably start Murphy and we have TJ Nichols who can throw. We have cooper, Netz, Vanelle and Price as well. Have to hope we are ready to get this done.
They seem confident (Ole Miss). They have led both games early. Last night they kept the pressure on. Not sure what changed with our approach from the mound but they kept attacking. This is where the hire of Yesky should shine and be the difference. We will find out tonight

Re: 2021 Season
We have bounced back before so I don't think this team will get rattled, but I agree we need to get on top of them early. Got to have Ole Miss feel the pressure especially with the crowd behind us, which will only increase in noise the later the game goes if we are in the lead.azcat49 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 7:58 am So we are at home for game 3. I expect a fairly close game due to none of these teams having a clear Game 3 starting pitching advantage, which won't be good for my nerves.
I feel whichever team can get those key 2 out hits will be going to Omaha.
Re: 2021 Season
Seems like last night we were more focused on trying to drive the pitch count up and while we did a great job of that, we seemed to lose some aggressiveness at the plate.
I agree, we need to get out early and put some pressure on them. If we can have the lead through 7, I like our chances

Re: 2021 Season
Irvin just had a bad outing...simple as that. He pitched the game of his life previously, and the odds are against you doing it in back-to-back games. We needed to hold them to 3 or 4 runs when going against their ace pitcher, and that went out the window early. But, nobody will remember the margin if we win tonight. Now, both teams are deeper into their pitching staffs than they like, but we're at home. I believe a coin toss will determine who hits in the bottom half of the innings tonight, so hopefully we can get lucky with that.

I thought the home team/higher seed got 2 out of 3 home games during Supers.TheCatInTheHat wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 11:01 am Irvin just had a bad outing...simple as that. Re: 2021 Season
I'm just going on what came up on a quick Google search. Maybe it's an artifact of an old rule, or maybe it's just wrong, but that's what I found. Split the first two games, flip for the third.

Straight from the horse's mouth.
Re: 2021 Season
Coin flip is for two teams of equal seeding:
HOME TEAM – SUPER REGIONALS
• Two Teams Advancing With Different Regional/National Seeds. For Game One, the better seeded team will be the home team. The lower seeded team will be the home team in Game Two.
The better seeded team will be the home team in Game Three, if necessary.
** If a super regional is a matchup of two national seeds (i.e., #8 national seed vs. #9 national seed) the team with the better national seed will be the home team in Games One and Three).
• Two Teams Advancing With Equal Regional Seeds. For Game One, the winner of a coin flip will be the home team. The loser of the coin flip will be the home team in Game Two. A second coin flip will determine the home team in Game Three, if necessary. These coin flips must both take place during the pre-tournament meeting. The traveling team will call the coin toss for Game One, while the host team will call the coin toss for Game Three or defer the call to their opponent.
