Handling TV rights has to be front and center, though.
The Pac 12 Network debacle has dragged the revenue and exposure of the conference down so much. Job 1 has to be getting that settled to expand revenue and exposure in football and basketball.
That will hopefully assist the goal of making the Pac relevant in revenue sports. Revenue and exposure will hopefully help recruiting, retaining talented coaches and lead to results.
It would be the first smart proactive move the Pac has made in a bit to embrace gambling as well. College sports hate it, but it's the future and there has to be money potential in the right avenues.
Maybe try a interconference holiday basketball tourney there. That idea's always interested me. You have 22 teams in the Pac and Big 12. 6 play in games plus a 4 round tourney over a week's time before Christmas. It guarantees 4-5 P5 games and hopefully generates 2x the conference tourney crowd.
It would be nice to have someone who creates events for Pac teams so we're not stuck in anonymity.

Clee-av-coff
It’s Estonian for “Larry Scott is a sheep fucker” so I already like the direction this hire is heading.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Re: F*ck Larry Scott
Hope the new commissioner is paying attention. He needs to put an end to this kind of shit.

Candrea and the UW coach are also very upset about the bad seedings. UDub especially, ranked 5th coming into the last weekend of the season and is a 16 seed.

Donald Rumsfeld is dead and Larry Scott is out of a job. Today is a good day.

Re: F*ck Larry Scott
What are the chances Larry Scott would ever show up and take a picture with the UofA women's volleyball team? There would probably be a better chance that Hell would freeze over before that happened.
