So the Oregon AD got done what Heeke couldn’t, extend JJ and give him a raise.

I know he tried with JJ but it speaks volumes that JJ wanted out and is really sticking it to us.

Why promote a guy to pitching coach when our defense was 2nd worst in the conference? We lost our supposed stud of a pitching coach along with our head coach (who had to give us a $1M buyout) and this is the best you can do?

My sentiments are the same as Sheer’s. I’m unenthusiastic about this hire, but I wish him well. I’m not pissed like I was with the Football and Basketball situations. Maybe I’m just numb at this point.

Another head coach who will be coaching his/her first college game when the season starts next year at Arizona. At least Hale has had coaching experience in the minors and major leagues. But no recruiting experience. And no experience handling a college baseball roster, which can turn over real quick, even under normal circumstances.

Everyone has their opinions. Yankee fans, as well as the media, did not like it when Joe Torre was hired in 1996. It turned out to be a pretty good hire. We just need to support Chip and be patient.

The only thing I hope he does is use his network of scouting relationships to find guys who can play at our level.

I would think he would excel at in game moves, fundamentals and game prep. It’s recruiting guys with only 11.7 scholarships and putting a roster together that worries me

Oh and in typical Heeke fashion, was there a market for this guy?
