It sucks watching people who suck at their job get extended with a raise. Just pathetic.

I guess ABOR feels he hasn't ruined the university enough yet. Disgusting.

Who is getting a 10% raise during the pandemic when the University is ruining a deficit. Keep him if you must but be fuckin fiscally responsible doing it.

Yes ABOR ultimately makes that decision… I think they liked that Uof did well financially last year during COVID … much better than expected…. While taking money away from faculty and staff

Is DeConcini still on the ABOR? He had always hated Athletics with college coaches being the highest paid employees in the states, even with most coaches not being paid by states funds

Miami would want a mover and shaker like DH or they may have enough problems.

Does Miami have an ego maniac School President that loves sports and wants an AD in name only while he/she makes decisions?

What do you think ABOR would do? It's a formality. The only way an AD reaches the end is if the university president doesn't support them. That's not going to happen in this case, even if an ocean of alumni and fans pressures Robbins. He's completely insulated and impervious to pressure as long as ABOR supports him. And ABOR would never in a billion years listen to fans, alumni, boosters, etc. It's bottom line, and the success of the men's and women's basketball programs as of now is part of that bottom line.

Every time I open this thread I hope desperately I’ll be greeted with the news that Heeke took a job cleaning the tiger cage at the zoo or that he needs to retire because he got both arms stuck in Pringles cans.

I don’t understand if it is because he is well liked by those in the department or he is well liked by the big wig donors?

It seems most fans I talk to think he is pretty average and hasn’t added jack$hit to the wildcat experience.

I just paid close to $2500 for my basketball and football season tickets and to think some of that is used to find his worthless a$$ just grinds on me

I'll speculate that it's really just about one man. To the world, he's just one man, but to himself, he's the world.

Ideally one where a group of female student athletes pick a new athletic director who isn't a yes man for Robert Robbins.

Not a wise move financially.

Lacrosse is 12 scholarships the AD needs to come up with funding for. Same number as softball, which isn't near the money loser that lacrosse will be.

Water polo is only 8 scholies.

Lacrosse also has bigger squads (24) for travel concerns.

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

If they add a women’s sport, can they increase scholarships for baseball?

Can they play lacrosse on the soccer field?

The NCAA limits baseball scholarships to 11.7.

Cross Country, and Lacrosse are 12.6 by comparison.

Women get 20 for rowing, 18 for ice hockey, 12 for rugby.

There is a cable channel that many of you don’t know exists. You’ve heard rumors, much like Bigfoot, but you’ve never seen either.

On the ticker it said that SDST and some other SoCal school have become friends with benefits with the Pac 12. They will be playing Women’s Lacrosse in the Pac-12.

Do you think this makes it more likely AZ will be adding W. Lacrosse or more likely a different sport?
