UCLA Basketball in trouble!

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
I got it.....Cronin will be what he always was and that is a 5 choice. Worked out well for them so far but got a ways to go. My thoughts are his style of play will not be attractive to either players or fans in the long run but winning is a cure all until you don't. Ask Ben Howland.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Myles Johnson has gotten into Stanford as well. Waiting on Cal Tech and MIT.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Doubling down Mr Bug? Do you think Arizona fans give ahit where he gets accepted for graduate school? Well at least you are consistent.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
I mean, you seem pretty invested.
He was admitted into Stanford. You said he was waiting for Stanford. What happened? Did speaking out of your ass catch up to you again?
You are a strange person. Your obsession with me is...scary, to the point that you have very little self-reflection about anything. Almost a rabid dog, foaming at the mouth, fixation on anything. Your left turns in arguments about off topic stuff is truly bizarre. Even RC97 keeps it to rep these days rather than engaging nonsense. Oh well, can't wait to hear about how you've known me for five years and I'm smug and how BRO...yada yada yada, nonsense, irrelevant et al.TheCat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 10:03 amYeah we all have Alzheimer's and don't remember your 5 years of comments on this board. Exactly what makes you think at this time that anyone gives a shit about Myles Johnson's second choice? So your intention was to point out the academic progress of Mr. Johnson? Really we all care about him being accepted to UCLA's graduate school.MrBug708 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 7:52 amAh, so we finally get some "context" about these bizarre and random posts. I was supposed to be able to read your mind and know that you were reading BRO and getting riled up. Hence that makes me arrogant and smug about a single post about Myles Johnson getting accepted into a graduate program at UCLA. Clearly I was the slow one in this exchange, we can all see that now.TheCat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 11:17 pmNo you are just slow.....we are happy to see the old Bug back. We all appreciate the Bruin's run because the conference will benefit financially. I personally was very happy that the conference was going to receive a lot of money from USC, Oregon, Colorado, Oregon State and of course UCLA. I just think it is odd for a team that just did worse than anyone predicted in conference to be claiming invincibility. If you think that is unfair go back and read the Bruin Report after those four losses.
It is always nice to have the arrogant Bug back. It reminds me why I hated UCLA so much.
BRO doesn't rile me up. It is like most fan sights. Ignorant on what they say about any other team especially their rival, over critical at times of their own team, and others that overlook their own teams faults. No real different then here. What you don't see on BRO is any Wildcat saying how they were in line for a maybe recruit. I guess that is what makes you so special. You are arrogant and smug but something tells me you might have heard that before.
But honestly, if you are so desperate to prove how little you care, why not ignore? You end up posting even sillier stuff with each post.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
I really really don't want to talk anything UCLA today. Hope you understand Bug. We have a shit show going on unfortunately.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Time to start your own Arizona basketball is in trouble post. It seems to end up very cyclical. But I suspect a long winded retort is coming. But I'll bow out for today
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Obsession with you? You are on a Arizona board which should be of interest to Arizona fans. Who is obsessed? Go spout your chronology of where Mr. Johnson is accepted in graduate school where it matters (if it matters anywhere). You are obsessed with Arizona as testified by your number of posts. Get the F off or post something of interest that affects Arizona or are you too dumb to do that or understand that?MrBug708 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 12:56 pmI mean, you seem pretty invested.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Condi brought out to the Myles zoom meeting for Stanford. Should have brought out Walton for UCLA but he's a Stanford grad as well. Dammit!
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
As expected, Myles Johnson will transfer to UCLA.

That's a great get bug.

Yuck
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

If you're going to insist on following UCLA hoops through an Arizona fan board (it just never stops being weird), at least get your facts straight.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Hey RC97, I've missed you and wondered when you would engage! Thanks for the link too! Counting can be hard at times so I decided to hone in on the links you provided! Not sure if you took the time to look at 247 or not, but it's a fantastic company that puts time into their basketball scouting department.Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:45 pmNot a 5*

I also know that most of these guys are a complete unknown to you, so here is an article for your reading pleasure from 247!

Wonder if Mick will stop chasing Hardy and go after Simpson. No spot available though
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Juzang has declared for the draft. Now to see what the feedback ends up being.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
As expected, Johnny Juzang has opted to return.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
UCLA brings back the entire Final Four starting lineup. I am beyond jealous! This is the kind of luck you need to win it all. It's almost comical these early rankings have Gonzaga #1. UCLA is a veteran team that is flat out loaded.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Backtracking through this absolutely dumpster fire of a thread. Walton did not graduate from Stanford, but he did attend their law school. So he has much more of a reason to root for Stanford than you do for UCLA.

Someone has been holding back for a while. Hopefuly that ass kicking didn't hurt too bad. I'll go easier next time.

The nerve of some people to come to an Arizona board and talk basketball recruiting!

Seriously!

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
UCLA loses Mac Etienne, to a knee injury, for the season. Mostly a depth piece right now but he's in their post rotation for the year.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
UCLA will be without starting C, Cody Riley, for the game vs Nova tomorrow.

I was in Westwood the other night before the Bakersfield game.
Seems the students were more excited about going to In n Out Burger than the actual game.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
If the idiot with the NOISE sign tried a little harder than UCLA would be up right now.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Good win for UCLA yesterday. Not having Riley allowed Jay Wright to take advantage of Myles Johnson and drag him out of the low post. Pauley was rocking but the COVID lines were awful.

The Gonzaga rematch in Vegas might very well decide the 1 seed in the west.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
No cutting!
Junior applied math major Hayden Epinette said he was unable to attend the game after waiting about seven hours after his group of friends got in line around 11:45 a.m. A UCLA staffer told the group that it was roughly No. 250 in line but as game time approached, someone in the group was told that more than 1,000 wristbands to get into the game had already been distributed as a result of others who had cut in line.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
It was pretty bad. Jarmond got a taste of what UcLa could be like when they put a decent product on the court. He said he will address it, but is there another elite program coming to UCLA this year? First top 5 matchup on thirty years.
What a great game Riverside cat!

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
UCLA has some players fighting being sick right now. That, combined with injuries, probably makes this game a tough one to win. Here's to hoping for the win!

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Think stinks. I wanted to see an epic game. I want to see UCLA win because I believe the game between UA and UCLA at Pauley will be epic. It's nice to see the PAC-12 getting back to the proper order with UA/UCLA at the top. That is the way it should always be. This is the real PAC-12 basketball rivalry.

I missed the Villanova game, and I'm glad UCLA won that. I'm pulling for them now, obviously. But the game just looks too fast for them.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
We are playing right into the Zags gameplan of missing wide open shots. But to be fair, we are deciding to not play much defense either

I mean, can they defend them? And those shots look a little rushed.

The refs are letting the Zags get away with murder.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Without Riley, we don't have a guy who can stop chet really. Johnson can't guard anything outside the key. Nwuba has a big body but Chet can eat him up. But we are ice cold on O

If he didn't get one on the non call on JJ, there isn't a reason to get one at this point.
But Mick also said, yesterday, the team wasn't ready to play Gonzaga

Fire Cronin, UCLA fans? Calls for a coaching change can’t be far off.
