Looks like they are trading up for Justin Fields

The Bears have a lot of money locked up in the QB room.

I haven’t been this happy about a Bears 1st round pick for a long time
Fingers crossed they finally have a real qb

All of a sudden Chicago Bears fans are in love with GM Ryan Pace after wanting his head on a platter for two years.

Re: Chicago Bears
I'm pretty sure most Bears fans still want him and Nagy to take a hike.
Yesterday's move was obvious and much needed. A couple picks before when it looked like he was dropping I was screaming at the Bears to move up.

Re: Chicago Bears
The question is if Fields plays a lot, or even if he doesn’t, and the Bears stink, are they going to regret giving up a top-5 first round pick?

Re: Chicago Bears
Will he start over Dalton? Bears have to make a call on that immediately because the offense you design around Dalton is totally different than the one for Fields.

I think Dalton is the starter day 1 but by mid season Fields is the guy (unless Dalton is leading the Bears to a winning a record)EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 12:25 pm Will he start over Dalton? I think the Bears are going to be pretty bad next year no matter who the QB is.

I heard the first “I’m worried because he’s an epileptic vegan” call from Stan in Forest Park. I laughed so hard I nearly swerved off the road.

Re: Chicago Bears
I would classify the mood in Chicago after Game 1 as “Big Mad”.
Because the Bears have played the Rams 4 years in a row, AND both seemed poised for greatness in ‘18 behind young QBs and incredible defenses before falling off the next year, a lot of Bears fans see LA both as a new rival and a measuring stick.
Well, the Bears did not measure up last night.
It was apparent that while Chicago’s D has taken a step back, LA’s continues to roll. LA also has athletic playmakers on both sides of the ball whereas Chicago seemingly does not. On top of that, both teams jettisoned their starting QBs this offseason and the Rams have improved while the Bears apparently can’t.
Chicago sports radio is on fire this morning. Everyone seems to want them to start over from the front office on down through the ball boys and for the Bears to rebuild around Justin Fields.
I can’t say I blame them…

While I am excited for the Justin Fields era to begin... Andy Dalton was not the problem. I have no idea why Nagy wasn't fired after last year.

Re: Chicago Bears
Groin injury is a euphemism for no balls?
Lot of speculation around Chicago that Dalton told Pace & Nagy that if Fields was named the starter for the rest of the season that he wouldn’t play no matter what Fields’ status is.

What’s also incredible is the amount of money he made to play in and win exactly one game.
