The bigger concern is if he's correct that no one from Fisch's staff supposedly contacted him at all.

If that's true, that's not very classy. At a bare minimum, I would expect current commits to get a phone call, even if it's to express that a mutual parting of ways seems best.

I don't know that it is true, but like Chicat said, I'm not aware of anyone disagreeing with his claim.
Supposedly they did contact him, so I'm guessing the lack of interest means they weren't interested in taking him on as a scholarship player.

I am not a fan of coaches who use non communication to get their point across. That said you have to wonder why he didn’t sign in December?

Was he told not to by the staff? Was he hoping to get another P5 offer in Texas that has not materialized?

On one side we have a staff over communicating in every aspect but this kid says he has had zero contact. Not sure what to think

If there's contrary news, sorry, I wasn't aware.

I was mainly trying to comment that the negative wasn't the retention or loss of one recruit. It's more about whether the process waa disrespectful. I habe no inside knowledge on whether he was or wasn't contacted, only just that is the potentially damaging part.

The video was funny to me because of all the names, bruschi says “Chris Lopez”.
He and TB were very close (probably still are). Not one of the big names you think of though.

Bruschi, Lopez and Jim Hoffman (along with a GBB or softball player IIRC) were the ones nailed by UAPD in '94 for breaking into Arizona Stadium and drinking beer from bags.

The one night he definitely embodied his family name.

I "acquired" a sign from one of the ticket trailers that says "No Alcoholic Beverages Permitted In The Stadium" in 1983. Still have it.

Dude. We used to bring 5 gallon Gott coolers of vodka and orange juice into the games. When i tell people this they can't believe it. Who won? Who cares!!

But originally I was referring to a 50 yard line thing I did with a very good lady friend.

WAY-Y-Y back in the day I went to a game in the student section. The guy in front of me had a wheelchair with a full-sized keg of beer wrapped in a lumberjack shirt with stuffed pants and boots, some kind of head with sunglasses, a wig, and a hat. It was like Weekend at Bernie's. He had a ticket for the "guy". The ticket taker had to laugh at the creativity, and I think he was about to say "no way", when the crowd started getting a little rowdy. "Let's go!" What's the hold-up?" "Hey, quit picking on the guy in the wheelchair!" The guy didn't want an insurrection, so he just laughed, shook his head, and waved him in, receiving many kudos from the next several people in line. It was first-come, first-served for the seats, so we were right next to them. Polo cups for everyone and ice-cold beer on a hot day. I have no idea who we played that day, and nobody believes me either. Regards to your lady friend.

We were never stopped bringing booze into Arizona stadium as long as it wasn't in bottles or cans. Some sort of flexible water container if memory serves.

It's truly amazing it took hiring a coaching nomad that didn't have a market as a head coach to do blatantly obvious things to succeed in Arizona. We paid so much god damn money to coaches that didn't get it or thought they were too good for the job or were too focused on booze instead of hiring a guy who could use his brain and do things that were actually smart to succeed at Arizona.

It's truly unbelievable.

Certainly not a surprise Dudzinski followed Brown yo UMass. He wasn’t much of a recruiter for us so hopefully we get a guy in here that can.

Hey I hear Oregon’s staff has been gutted, why not look there first

I can think of one Defensive coach there who would be a welcome addition, Hunley can move to LB's where he has coached before to make room if needed though Salava'e would likely need to take a pay cut which he probably wont consider.

I agree, but not sure why he wouldn't consider it beyond money. He has always been a position coach, it wouldn't be hard to add the meaningless Assistant Head Coach label if that is the sticking point.

It is not a budget thing, it is a cap on number of coaches you can have thing. Obviously they could move the duties around, but this is the way most programs do it.

Lopez’ wife was my daughter’s kindergarten teacher. Every year she would have TB come in and read to the kids.
Well of course my daughter’s year was the year the Pats went to their first Super Bowl with TB so the story time got canceled and then the teacher left for maternity leave and they never got to reschedule.
